I'm going to the pet store right now to get KMR. Im hoping it will help with the diarrhea since the liquid is probably making it worse. Do you know how long it will take for the liquid to get out of her system?

Please buy the PetAg brand powdered KMR.

It should not take long at all if her diarrhea is as bad as you say it is.

If she responds well to the PetAg powdered formula, you should know after the first few feedings.

Okay. Yeah every time I pick her up, there is diarrhea all over her. Her butt is raw, I am putting the diaper rash cream you recommended with my last kittens on her.

It's good you are applying diaper cream.

Poor baby. This diarrhea is awful. When did she start the panacur and albon?

She started the panacur and albon yesterday at 9am. She gets .01 ml once a day. Yesterday she got .02 ml of albon and now it's .01 ml.

I thought so. I will give this a try and if she continues to lose weight and the formula doesn't help the diarrhea... I will message my foster coordinator. I'm trying my best, it's just hard. I'm hoping she pulls through.

I talked to someone who knows kittens and she says that I need to mix the old formula and the new formula together for a min so the diarrhea doesn't get worse. How should I do that ?

Okay. So just start her on the new formula? What is dangerous about using rice formula?

Yes, just the powdered formula mixed with pedialyte.

The kitten is too young for rice cereal in its formula.

So worms came out! She has very bad tapeworms. When I got her, the shelter said that she was a week old. I've been confused about her age for a while. So I decided to look at her teeth. She is at least 2 weeks old. If not more. I mean, her eyes are fully open. She walks, purrs, and all her teeth are coming in. The worms that came out were HUGE which leads me to believe that she is just severely malnourished. She is just a tiny cat.

That would make more sense on why she has held on so long too!

If her teeth are coming in, she is between 3 and 4 weeks old. Baby teeth are usually all the way in at 4 weeks old.

The worms are not tapeworms. They would be roundworms or hookworms, which the panacur is treating. It paralyzes them so they let go and are expelled.

She should begin feeling better as the worms come out. Her diarrhea will stop, and she should begin to gain weight. Be sure to finish all the medicine.

Did you get the PetAg powdered and the pedialyte? She still needs it. At 184 grams she is extremely underweight.

Can you post her picture please?

I did get the new formula. I am feeding her every hour now because she was losing a lot of weight. I noticed that she has much more energy.
