I took my male cat Zelda. who is six years old to the vet yesterday because I noticed he was cleaning excessively for the last few days in his genital area. And then he Peed on my floor twice, and I noticed him cleaning his genitals and meowing at the same time. So off to the vet we went. However his bladder was empty. I left them there for seven hours with no luck. So this morning after eating and drinking last night he goes to go in the litter box and pee and nothing comes out. So I worried that he was blocked and rushed him back in. He did P in his carrier but the vet was able to get a urine sample. After looking at his urine he said that there are mixed crystals in his urine but that they're very small. We are waiting on a urine culture to see if he has an infection. The vet told me to keep him on a strictly wet diet and gave me a couple cans of prescription urinary wet food. I have two other cats that I feed dry kibble (Natural Balance) as well as all three share a can of Friskies every day. I have tried so many different kinds of cat food trying to get them to eat something that they like with no success. I'm thinking I need to switch Zeldan to a strictly canned food diet but I just don't know what to give him. Any suggestions for highly tasty food that isn't going to break the bank? I do have three cats so I cant afford to spend $10 a day to feed them...
