Those of you who feed your cat with wet food only - what do you do with night snacks? My cat is used to having dry food left out for the night, cause he wakes up several times and stays awake for quite a while. Now, before I go to bed, he is usually sleeping, so I go and put some food into his bowl, hoping he will only discover it later on. However, he only pretends to be asleep, waits for me to go to bed and then goes on and eats it. He then has nothing for the rest of the night and throws up some foam around 5 am, I think because he is hungry and gets acid reflux without having something to eat.

We are on a strict elimination diet, so I have no ideas how to manage with his night time hunger. Is it something a cat can get used to?

Get a times feeder so he can't eat all the food so early in the night.

Yup, a timed feeder would help, you can even get feeders that will keep food cold for several hours so you can put wet food in them.

I leave about 1 tbsp of dry out overnight for those midnight munchies ;)
