Woo Woo Woo!! I got an envelope today....the return address said simply, "TCS-SS"
4 Stamps, HAND CANCELLED....no clue where it was from.
It was a BEAUTIFUL swirl glass bead and Tibetan silver handmade bookmark!!! IN MY FAVORITE COLOR!!! Oh, and it has a KITTY on it of course! Taking a pic...
Well, it's not a huge thing, but it's important. My daughter is going today to audition for one of the best musical theater programs in the country. Vibes would be appreciated for calm nerves, luck with singing, and of course, acceptance!
ETA - this is for college.
OK, last year I asked for vibes when my DD auditioned for her musical and she got the lead. We are doing 2 musicals this year, and I didn't ask for vibes, and she got a really tiny part, and it's her senior year, therefore last musical. Sooooo....
Vibes, please that she gets a good part. They...
I have to have foot surgery on Monday (actually, I GET to have surgery) because of a very painful cyst that's been bothering me since at least March. Just asking for those good old TCS vibes, and I will probably be on my computer a lot next week, LOL, while I'm recovering. I'm waiting to see...
I am in the unique (for me) position of actually having finished a piece of my cross stitch! I've been working on it for several years, and it's quite creased where I've folded it in between working on it. I'm starting to think also that the creases are also a little bit dirty. I've already...
So I got a Kindle for my birthday, and an Amazon gift certificate for Mother's Day. But somehow my Scottish roots keep me from spending money on almost anything, so I want recommendations on the ONE BEST BOOK you would always keep with you and read over and over. I hate paying for things like...
I've never posted a poll before, I hope I get this right!

Just looking for some help...I'm stuck on something, principally a CSS thing. It's a flyout menu, and I'm having some trouble with the second layer. Specifically the background is set to none, but it persists in showing up. Thanks if you have any input!
We got Tigger 6 years ago from a no-kill shelter when she was 14. My husband was worried that she wouldn't be with us long, but I wanted to adopt her to give her a nice last year or so.
Eventually her kidneys failed, but she was only really sick for a day or so; we were waiting for a vet...
Well, Tigger's taken a little turn downwards. I've been able to sleep well for the past night or 2 so I should have known. I don't think she's eaten or drank today, so per the vet's advice, I've treated her for nausea and given her 200 units of sub-q fluid. She either seems weak or uncoordinated...
I'm so excited I can hardly work! It's almost time for the musical - we have a show for the Middle School kids on Wednesday then Thursday is opening night. Here are a few pics:
It's DeLovely
All Through The Night
Final Scene.
The girl is my daughter - I get to play in the pit!
I am exploring the possibility that my Tigger may be experiencing some dementia. Of COURSE, she is going to the vet in a couple of days, just to check out her numbers, but I wanted to ask some ideas how to make her more comfortable in the meantime.
Her primary problem is excessive/strange...
I'm pretty sure this is a behavior issue - not a health one...
Tigger, at age 20, is doing quite well, except during the night she seems to want me to wake up and be with her. I thought she was hungry, so I've tried getting up several times a night and feeding her, but as soon as I lie down...
So we have had Clyde for almost 3 years. He's always had one really weepy eye, which I assumed to be herpes. However, after a vet visit, the vet decided it was a blocked tear duct because there wasn't anything wrong with the eye...just that there wasn't anywhere for the tears to go.
Anyway...
I am a bit late on this; I believe Tigger's Gotcha Day was the 8th of January...SIX YEARS AGO!!!! She was 14, and we were just going to get her to give her a nice "last year or so" of life!! And she's doing great!
Well, I'm not sure if this is exactly the right place to put this, but I wanted more than just breeders to chime in...
So...in cats the color gene is sex-linked. So I see a cat with both red and black, and I assume it is a female. Are there any other animals that have sex-linked color? Just...
