Hello
Thanks for the replies and suggestions. I'll follow through on them. I've checked Little Man all over and found one scab on his front leg. I will watch it. Separating them didnt enter my mind. I guess in my mind that would be punishing Ed, but my bedroom has windows so that might be...
Hello,
I rescued a cat 7 years ago. Ed got adopted twice then given back because of his unprovoked agression. He has been to the vet and nothing is physically wrong with him. He is lovable and affectionate, but tempermental.
He attacks me almost every day. This has been going on for as long...
I don't think the husband is overly agressive in that the discipline is as frequent as the attacking which is every day. I've read suggestions of how you should not react w/ a cat is biting however, this does not stop Ed from continuing to bite very hard. the disciplining is putting Ed in...
Good afternoon,
I have a situation. I rescued a 6 month old kitty off the street about a year ago. Male, very lovable but had aggressive tendencies with attacking then very hard biting. Initially, I kept Eddie in a room by himself where he could see the other cats, Chloe and two other...
Interesting. My kitty Chloe Blue does the same thing in my hallway. she will literally pace up and down the wall and meow and stretch on it as if something is INSIDE the wall. It is a very small hallway-lengthwise only 8ft. She does this usually at night time. She's around 9 1/2 years old...
Since your cat is 4 years old and this is out of the norm behavior, he might be telling you he is not feeling well.
Cats purr when they are happy but also purr when they are frightened or sick. I would take him to the vet and get some blood work done. Better safe than sorry.
Hi All,
I'm wondering if anyone could point me in the right direction re a template for a petition.
A friend of mine who is very ill cares for a cat colony across the street from where he lives. He owns a co-op in Queens, NYC. Because he is ill, a Board member suggested he write a petition...
Oh, okay, thanks. I do notice that i take a good 45 minutes to eat there wet food too. They take a break and then go back for more. I'm going to start getting higher quality brands and mix it up. I'm definately going to start leaving some good dry food for them to snack on during the day
My one cat Chloe weighs 11 1/2 pounds and Gabby Girl weighs about 8 pounds. I will look into foods w/out by products. Do you have any food suggestions?
And what do you mean by slowing down the transition? Do you mean the times that I feed them?
They get one 3.5 onces per day for the both of them. Half of the can in the morning and then other half at night.
I think you're right. I need to start giving them a little more. The thing is that they don't get their wet food right away and I notice it will start to get dry. I guess I...
When my cat Chloe was a baby she licked herself raw. I took her to the vet and vet said that she was anixous and stressed out because she was alone all the time.
I got another cat to keep her company and that helped.
I would definately take her to the doctor. It could be something medical.
Hello!
I'm sensing that my cats need more nutritional foods than what I'm giving them. I have two adult cats. I give them a half a can (3 1/2 onces) of Iams each morning before I go to work and then the other half when I return at around 6:30 p.m. I often give them a half of cup of dry food...
Thanks for that information. It makes sense that some cats might be sensitive to touch. My Chloe is now 6 years old (had her since she was a baby) and it has taken her right up until now to be a little more relaxed when it comes to getting petted. She now will actively seek to be petted BUT...
Thanks Hissy. I will try putting their bowls in the tub tonight and see what happens. I always have a large plastic cup full of water on my sink for Gabby Girl. She loves to drink and visit me when I get ready for work in the morning.
Oh and thanks for the tip on the plain yogurt. I will try...
I would most definately take your cat to the vet. My cat starting defecating on my bed and it turned out she had a UTI that must've been around for a while. I didn't realize that she a UTI because her urine looked normal -- I couldn't see blood. I took her to the vet and he said it was...
The weather in my area has gotten really hot and humid with temperatures reaching over 95.
I noticed since the hot weather, my kitties haven't been eating as robustly as they usual do? They will leave a good portion of their wet food in the bowl and not go back to it. Is this normal?
