I have heard that too many carbs can cause yeast infections in their ears. So, yes, a change in foods might help, depending on what you are currently feeding.
Not sure if you have already searched this site for other posts about PU surgery, but just in case, here is what I found:

Your Vet should give you post surgery instructions, then perhaps there will be something in the above...
I agree with the above poster that it just appears to be a little inflamed and should clear up on it's own. But do keep an eye on it. One thing though, Bird Flu is running rampant in certain areas at the moment, so if possible, try to keep your cat from eating birds. I know, I know, easier...
I found with my kidney cats that I needed to switch their food around often, AND they did much better with their eating when I served them many small meals throughout the day and night rather than just a couple larger meals. So I would serve up maybe one tablespoon of food (and that would...
As to the differences in those two foods, there is fiber, and then there is fiber. I'd say the fiber is the Royal Canin is probably a better fiber, because so many people say it really works for their cats. What is weird is that I just looked it up (also on Chewy), and it shows a 7.7 lb bag...
I was going to say the same thing. Brushing or combing him few days a week could go a long way towards keeping those hairballs at bay. I find with one of my cats that combing works better. Brushing works better for my other cat. Really depends on the type of fur they have.
Those bowls should work out fine for your two. It's probably just matter of getting used to them. I did see in one review that one person actually piled up a little food only in the middle of the dish so their cat could munch out for a short while before getting to the food in the grooves...
Very handsome boys! Did they eat more from the new bowls overnight? What type of food is in them, and what of slow feeder bowls are they. I did buy a slow feeder bowl that was a little difficult for my boy to use, so depending on what type of bowl you got, that could be the issue. Mine was...
Do you use clumping litter? If so, it IS still possible because that liquid diarrhea clumps up just like urine and you can pick it up (litter included), put it in a little ziploc bag, and take it to the Vet. I have done that with my boy's diarrhea and they sent it out for a PCR test, no problem.
It is definitely a good idea to give probiotics when a cat is on antibiotics, waiting a couple hours between dosing though. Lots of people use Nexabiotic. I think most people simply open up the capsule and mix it with their cat's food. If you do this, I would suggest starting with maybe 1/4...
Is he showing any other weird symptoms, like being aggressive? Did he have any bites on him when you found him? Rabies is transmitted through bites, so if he doesn't have any bites, or evidence of bites, it probably isn't rabies. But it could be an URI, or issues with his mouth, or it's...
Here is one thread that talks a little bit about it:
https://thecatsite.com/threads/advice-on-radiotherapy-for-nasal-carcinoma.459971/
Have you discussed using Pred and pain killers vs radiation?
Well, it certainly looks like one, but I would have thought worms would have shown up in the xray. What did the Vet say about her being full of poop...did they do any treatment? You might send this pic to them and ask what they think, since you were just there.
As to transmission to humans...
I have only tried using SEB by making it into a syrup and trying to get my cats to take it that way. Didn't work. They all refused their food with it in there :sigh:. But i do trust Tanya's site, so think one capsule should be fine.
Personally, I am all for a raw diet, but not necessarily to get a cat to gain weight. I actually converted my cats to a raw diet in order to get my overweight ct to lose weight!
That being said, I do think the above posts do have some validity and think once she is feeling quite comfortable...
I just want to add that my cats always get their blood drawn from their necks (it's a jugular draw), and one cat is long haired and the other short haired. They have never shaved either one for the draw. Just saying. Next time there should be no reason they should have to shave anything for...
