Lilies in garden poisonous to cats??

I’ve heard lilies are poisonous, but my dad recently got some white lilies for our backyard, and it’s kinda freaking me out because we have two cats. They are both strictly indoors, the only outdoors time they get is on the balcony, which is 15ish feet off the ground. I am kind of worried though...

Introducing 4month female kitten to 5year male cat?

We have adopted a female kitten named Charlie and she is pretty friendly with people as long as you give her some time to get used to you. However, we’ve attempted introducing her to our older cat. His name is Niko and he is about 5 years old, he’s not super cuddly but he likes to be around...

Healthy weight for 4month female shorthair?

thank you, that’s very good to know! She is just gorgeous and so incredibly sweet, I cannot believe that she was not adopted before now. The people at the shelter said she had moved around many times without ever being adopted :( but luckily I think she will fit in just fine here!

Healthy weight for 4month female shorthair?

This is Charlie Roo, our new family member. She is four months old and a shorthair. I think she weighs about four pounds but she looks so thin I’m wondering what a healthy weight is for a cat of her age? Maybe I just am used to our other, slightly pudgy cat. Also, when we adopted her from the...

    Does my cat look overweight?

thank you to everyone replying, we do feed him dry food but I will look into switching, after a talk with my sister we decided to see about that. He is an all-indoor cat because we live in an area with coyotes

    Does my cat look overweight?

My boy Niko (he’s technically my sister’s cat but I feel she doesn’t take good enough care of him) is about 5 and he is a classic tabby shorthair I believe. For a while my sister has been using a feeding bowl where the food refills whenever he eats and I’m worried he is eating too much and...

    Cat nuzzles my head?

So my cat Diego likes to nuzzle against my head when I pet him, and obviously it’s freaking adorable, but I’m curious to what it means specifically? is he wanting comfort? telling me he loves me? does he see me as his mama? also he likes to lick and nibble my face when he gets in close lol am I...

    Cat’s left ear hanging down?

update!! the vet confirmed that the swelling was caused by an infection in his left head and excessive head shaking, which was because he does have a few mites in his other ear 😣 luckily they’re going to drain the fluid from the swelling and treat him! thanks for all the well wishes!!

Are my cats playing or fighting?

Thank you! Based on your advice, I think I can safely say that they are just playing :) at one point they were kind of staring each other down but their tails were up and flicking around so it seemed pretty playful. They’re comfortable enough to sleep together and steal food from each other’s...

Are my cats playing or fighting?

Here is a video of my two cats, I couldn’t figure out another way to put it here. The black cat is Diego, male, about 13 years old. The gray one is Niko, also male, around 3yrs. I was laughing when I took the video but now I am a bit concerned that they may be actually fighting and not just...

My Cat Doesn´t Claw When I Pet His Stomach?

Thanks, everyone! I feel better, I’ve not had many other cats and our only other one right now will bite if you try to rub his belly. Niko is a very social and cuddly boy, he even gets lonely at night when everyone is asleep and he’s not.

My Cat Doesn´t Claw When I Pet His Stomach?

I´ve seen a lot of things that say that a cat will usually attack or claw someone if they touch the cat´s belly, but mine doesn´t do that? He´s a bit of a lump. Could this be because he was a rescue and lost his mother very young?

Are My Cats Fighting Or Playing?

Yes, I’ve never heard any hissing and Niko never uses claws so I don’t think it’s actual fighting, I’m mostly worried that Diego doesn’t want to participate when Niko plays but sometimes diego will “attack” first so maybe it is just mutual? Usually when Diego yowls he’ll either attack back or...
