Thank you for this. I was always concerned that my Ozzy, the male was getting a bit carried away. He is usually the aggressive one, and it usually starts with play "mounting"; he will get on Lilith's back and bite her on the neck. She will let out a loud yowl, followed by some hissing, then...

Comment by 'sue f' in article 'How Does Catnip Affect Cats?'

One cat is completely unaffected. The other loves it, but I have to give Ozzy his "dose" when Lilith isn't around for at least 15 minutes, or he will try to bite and mount her. On the other hand, Lilith responds favorably to silver vine, but again, I must keep them separated, as Ozzy will...

My cats refuse to get their nails cut

The fact that this problem has been progressing, assuming you could clip the nails before, makes the question more challenging. Like others, I started early, with playing with the paws, with treat reinforcement. My two still aren't exactly fond of clipping time, but they know that a greenie...

    PLEASE HELP!!!!

I don't know of any other part that they couldn't get to. Sounds like they are sensitive to that brand; perhaps something else?  I used Revolution when I first got each of them, as they had been strays, but since they are indoor cats, I don't use anything anymore.  Revolution is horribly...

My two are getting ready to switch to their "Winter Attire"-- Ozzy will be wearing blue with a snowflake design, while Lilith will sport red glitter.

    PLEASE HELP!!!!

Yeah, bribe them with the treats.  I give my two a treat in their toy puzzle box every morning before I go to work; they usually ignore the toys, dig out the treats then trash the living room. I also give one treat for every paw they let me clip nails on. Hey, maybe the 'nip will mellow them out!!

    PLEASE HELP!!!!

Also, remember that many people are afraid of cats, and may have been afraid of getting bitten and contracting rabies.  I myself have a great fear of dogs. I once stopped after seeing a pickup truck hit a small kitten, and held the little thing while it died in my hands with its intestines...

    PLEASE HELP!!!!

For all of us who have ever gone to the Shelter and taken home a little cat who had resigned itself to a 3x3 cage for the rest of its life...or brought home a kitten who would have been condemned to a feral life of fleas, disease, predation and a very short life, and scrounged up hundreds of...
