My baby has gone. I am so lost. It's agony

Thank you so much. We've talked about how the house doesn't feel the same just the two of us and none of his familiar sounds. It's weird to see birds in our garden for the first time, it's all just a reminder he isn't here anymore. We'd like to get another cat one day, but how do you know when...

My baby has gone. I am so lost. It's agony

Thank you, that helps. I'm up for trying anything and everything right now. Even 3 weeks on, I'm waking up every day in a sweat having had nightmares that he's missing, or hurt, and I can't reach him.

Was he a domestic long hair or medium hair? (pics)

Oh my gooosshhh!!! They are so gorgeous. Do they know they're handsome? Ben was a similar experience - we fostered him under strict instructions not to fall for him. Whoops. I like that we both had serendipitous experiences with our fosters. Gives me hope that one day, we might be ready to take...

Was he a domestic long hair or medium hair? (pics)

I have a question about personality and about coat about my beautiful boy who we lost two weeks ago. We rescued him at 3 so don't know his backstory. He was SO docile, loved to be cuddled, picked up and talked to softly, loved to roll over for a tummy rub, was happy to have his paw held and...

My baby has gone. I am so lost. It's agony

Thank you so much everyone. I'm reading them all through tears. I wake up every day after dreaming about him and I cry instantly, even before I've fully come round from sleep. I keep 'hearing' his bell or looking over at the cat flap. And weirdly I feel guilty for every day out we ever had as a...

My baby has gone. I am so lost. It's agony

Yes this is him. An enormous, silly, happy, relaxed ball of fluff. He was so content with anything and everything. All he wanted was some food and tummy rubs. I wish I could go back in time and rescue him from what happened, give him one more tummy rub. I miss him so much it hurts.

My baby has gone. I am so lost. It's agony

I only joined this site a few weeks ago as our beloved cat Ben broke his jaw and nose and I was looking for feeding advice. It was an RTA or an act of violence in the neighbourhood. He had surgery and pulled through, and we were helping nurse him every day with a feeding tube, baby wipes...

    Lost my best friend

Hello, I just found your post as the same thing happened to my baby three days ago. I can't eat or sleep. I feel guilty in the single moments where I'm not thinking of him. I can't bear to think of my future without him. I know exactly how you feel. It's physically painful. I'm sorry for your...

Broken jaw recovery - tips and tricks for me?

He didn't make it. I am devastated beyond words. The centre of my universe has gone. I have known him a third of my life. He was doing so well with his feeding tube etc. He got used to it. Then he had his stitches out (chin) and somehow contracted a stomach bug. He did the one thing that you...

Broken jaw recovery - tips and tricks for me?

Hi! Yes, thank you. I did read all the threads when I joined, some useful things! I'm keen for anyone to reflect on their recovery period, with all manner of it. Not just feeding tubes. Like, how do I wash or comb him (he's very fluffy). He also has a low grade lymphoma so I need to keep the...

Broken jaw recovery - tips and tricks for me?

I'm new here. My beloved 12 year old had a trauma to the face and has broken his jaw in 3 places. We expect him to come home on Wednesday and know that he'll have a frame over his face where his jaw has been wired shut. For those of you who have cared for a cat recovering from a broken jaw...
