    Picking the right meal plan

I've been thinking about adjusting my cat's meals. Archer is two years old and she's been on a mainly dry food diet for a while now, but I want to acclimate her a different diet so she can be healthier and more hydrated. She's actually picky when it comes to wet food, and we've been trying...

    Cat grinding teeth

I've been noticing my cat Archer grinding her teeth recently, usually after yawning, eating, or grooming. When I give her a lot of treats in a row (small pieces of treats for harness training), she tilts her head as if the food is falling out of her mouth and she needs to use her tongue to keep...

Should I harness train my cats?

Such beautiful kitties! I definitely think you should start harness training your cats, especially if they're always trying to get outside and be more adventurous. I'm also harness training my cat! Here are a few tips that I've learned: first use positive association (putting treats on the...

    Cat hiding under bed?

I definitely think she's in between. I should have rephrased what I said before; she usually goes under there to sleep, but she also goes under there when she wants to hide from one of my family members. Like when one of the guys comes into the room or pets her for too long, she'll run under the...

Taking on and off cat harness

It's been a few days, and I think that she only growled because she became frustrated with having it on too long. So I took a step back and only kept the neck piece on for a few seconds before taking it off and she was fine with it! Now she lets me put the harness on for longer spans of time but...

    Cat hiding under bed?

My cat has always slept under the bed, especially in the afternoons, but recently I've seen her hiding under my bed even more, especially since two of my family members moved in. Although she's sometimes stressed when she's around some of my family members (especially the men), she's usually...

Taking on and off cat harness

The neckpiece is loose so it's not pinching her head a lot, but you're right, I think the pressure on her ears might be freaking her out. Maybe she just needs more time to adjust or I need to try another step in harness. Thank you!

Taking on and off cat harness

Hi, thank you for replying! I actually really wanted to get a step in harness, but the ones I found didn't fit her well. She isn't actually too annoyed when it's fully clipped on, she only growls when I try to pull the neckpiece over the head to take it off (even though she's fine putting it on).

Taking on and off cat harness

I've been training my cat to put on her harness and it's been going pretty well. I've done positive associations with treats to get her to sniff the harness and be interested, and she's been desensitized to the harness being laid on her back. Now I'm trying to train her to put the harness neck...
