Thank you for the reply!
1. She has dry food available at night but I’m not sure if she eats it during that time. She often likes me to follow her to her food before eating so maybe she doesn’t eat until I am with her.
2. I haven‘t given her anything for hairballs yet but that’s something I will...
Hi everyone.
I’ve posted here about my kitty that I adopted a few months ago before. The shelter told me she had a sensitive stomach and since then I have brought her to the vet three times. Two of the times were for diarrhea as I wanted to know if her sensitive stomach was caused by anything...
Made an appointment with the vet but have to wait two days so I’m pretty anxious. Here‘s one more picture since she’s finally not moving around. Both sides of her head look almost the same.
Thank you! I just emailed the vet some pictures. Hope they call soon. I was able to get a better picture of her head this morning. She acts uncomfortable and walks away when I take pictures of that area so this is the best one so far.
Thank you for the reply! When the vet told me the results of her test I asked if I needed to be doing any extra cleaning or anything and the vet said I didn’t need to be concerned with that so I believe it is C. perfringens.
I will double check about that just in case because the other seems...
Thanks for the replies everyone!
This morning it didn’t look worse so I decided to wait and see if anything improved before calling the vet. I was gone for about 8 hours and when I got home I noticed the entire area from where the original spot was to her eye looks red/irritated as well as the...
Hello
I noticed these skin irritations on my cat this morning. Today is a Sunday so I couldn’t contact her vet. I’m thinking of emailing them tomorrow but have been so worried about this that I thought I’d just see what you thought here.
She has a spot that started to bleed near her ear she’s...
Hi again!
I thought I’d post an update about her upset stomach. I was able to get her vet history from the shelter. She was prescribed two different antibiotics for a UTI and a URI while there.
I had a test done and the results came back that she had clostridium! so she was on metronidazole for...
Will see about getting her health history from the shelter. I wonder why they didn’t give it to me in the first place. And I will ask for those tests at the other vet. That’s interesting about allergies. I will add that possibility to my list of vet questions as well. Thank you! :)
Yes I just got her almost a month ago.
The change in environment was something I thought too and when I learned she had an upset stomach at the shelter I assumed it was because of the treatments she had while there.
I’ve been feeding her Hills Sensitive Stomach and Skin (given to me by the...
Hi everyone
I posted a few weeks ago about a cat I had just adopted but was asking about a completely different thing. Those of you who answered were very helpful! Thank you! :)
Since then I took her to the vet. That was about two weeks ago. When I adopted her she was very skinny with oily...
Thank you for the reply! I’m feeding her “Science Diet: Sensitive Stomach and Skin”, both wet and dry food. The shelter gave it to me for her. (they really did care about her a lot :) ). One person at the shelter said she thought she had been on prescription science diet but the food they gave...
I also have a blacklight that I have used to look at the spots and they don’t glow. I know that doesn’t always show ringworm but I thought I’d mention it.
Hello everyone!
I just adopted the sweetest little cat a few days ago and noticed these bald patches of skin on each back foot in a similar pattern. I noticed them when I adopted her and thought it was because of how she had been sitting on a hard surface as well as how she’d jump on top of...
