Not only do they use artifical flavors, they also use dyes (completely unnecessary to cat nutrition)- "added color" and Red 3 a known animal carcinogen, "meat by-products" as well as menadione bisulfite, which is still sort of up in the air in terms of quality.

Just a note, Dave's has since removed the carageenan, added gravy flavors and lowered the price way down (they are now the most inexpensive high quality cat food on the market I think). They even have inexpensive dry food. They are readily available at my local pet store and online pet food...
