Thankyou both.
I’ll do that first thing in the morning.
She’s currently shut in another room with her kitten.
I’ve looked through the door and they both seem fine. I’m reluctant to go in because I feel terrified. (Was bitten by a dog a few years ago and this has brought it all back)
I feel...
my Cat had her kitten 4 weeks ago. And her behaviour has just suddenly changed.
She leaves kitten now for amounts of time and has no issues with me haolding kitten etc. (Not sure of any of this is relevant but thought I’d add it in)
Anyway.
Friday evening I was changing her litter tray and...
Hi all again!
The remaining kitten is doing well and she is actually a he!
But he will be two weeks old on Monday (tomorrow) his eyes are still completely shut which I’ve read they shouldn’t have at least started to open by now. Do I need to get him to the vets in the morning? I’ve read I can...
Am I ok to continue with my questions on this post still?
I’m unsure if mum is stimulating the kitten to wee and poo.
Kitty seemed very round earlier and with a gentle rub from me she wee’d. Now I’m wondering if mum hasn’t been doing it.
She’s now weighing in at 150grams so if this continues...
I have a quick question!
Mum Cat has been leaving her kitten periodically for some fuss from me and has a little nap away from the kitten. When she cries she does go back to feed her. I’m probably being paranoid after losing the other one but is this all normal
Just a little update, kitty Is sleeping soundly on my chest. He’s raspy and crackled but still has seems to have some fight. I’m not holding out any hopes but praying for the first time ever.
Sweet little dude had some life in him still so if he’s fighting hard I will too for him
Thankyou @sarthur @catwoman
I understand. I just have never been touched like this before with an animal and it’s knocked me for 6. I was up all night with kitten and my 3 month old baby and had about 45 minutes sleep in total.
Could I leave the kitten in my tshirt pocket whilst I sleep...
Thankyou. Any chance you have an antibiotic reference before I use a google one. I feel this is the last resort. He looks on his last legs so to speak.
I’ll try anything now though
Sorry im not ignoring the reply’s, as of yet. But is a kitten give a specific type of antibiotic that is the same as humans are given? I have a small amount of different antibiotics here at home. Can work out measurement and weight
Anyone have any tips to help through the next few hours. It sound harsh and I hate to say but I don’t know if I should let nature take its course or to possibly prolong the enevitable.
Little guy is still crying on and off.
Thanks all. Kitten has now just taken 3 drops of sugar water. He’s managed to flip out of his box to the syringe which was a good foot away from him. So I tried him on it. He’s still lifting his head momentarily, and cries albeit weakly and scrawling around his box. This little guy seems to have...
Vet has called back. He’s the only one in for the next 6 hours. The next vet closer to us is a few hours drive. (We live in a small town far away from many cities/other towns) do you think we can wait that long? I can’t stop crying, I didn’t realise how much this little fellow means to me.
