He may be in pain, or have an infection. Is he eating, drinking, pooping and peeing? I would take him back to your vet or perhaps get a second opinion and go to a specialist. If he never bit you before, he is in pain, and something is wrong, IMO.

Also, I wouldn't do a biopsy, personally, as its very invasive and I'd imagine painful and traumatic for your cat. But a specialist can certainly do x-rays and a ultra sound/scan to see if there is a tumor.
