Turkish Angora's have been cross-bred, so not all of them are white.
We've been on the hunt to identify his ancestry and personality-wise, the Turk checks all the boxes.
Just curious on everyone else's opinions.
I was hoping he would have ancestry from a particular breed, because he is such an interesting cat I want to try and get another with similar personality traits when he passes one day. Just to be sure, I might get genetic testing done to see if there is strong resemblance anywhere!
We completely stopped letting them outside after his last episode 7 weeks ago. There was 9 weeks between his first exacerbation and his second, so I'm hoping this one doesn't come around like clockwork. After this last scare, my husband and I have both decided we're not going to let them...
I'm so sorry to hear about the passing of your cat. I didn't think IBD was enough to kill a cat, unless they suffered chronic fever. Never heard of that happening before.

Bear is a 2yo, 14lb male with a smoke black & white 3-layered coat, and a bushy racoon tail that sticks straight up
If you want to ID using photos, awesome! But, I know personalities play a big part in ID'ing cats! If I had to describe Bear in one sentence, it would be...
Not any changes that I'm aware of. I would be genuinely surprised if his food was making him feel ill. It's unlikely since he gets so sick without any indication.
No, he's only had the blood, urine, and fecal tests. I have the full list of results, so if you're looking for something specific I can give you the numbers.
The grass is on public property, so it's possible it could be compromised. I also questioned if he had just eaten the grass after using fertilizer or pesticides, but I have no clue.
My other cat is on the same schedule as him, and eats the grass as well. Same age, but never have had any...

My little boy is almost 2 years old!
He's almost 15 lbs. He hit that weight when he was a year old and hasn't gone up or down since.
He is extremely vocal. He meows when he wants attention and when he plays.
He has a long fur coat with a smoke and white...
We've tried doing that too...we've tried everything. I've tried to get him to patiently wait on the ground for food but he jumps up on the counter, so I put him down and he jumps back up...it's a vicious cycle. I will even tell him NO and he does not even care.
He actually doesn't groom as much as he should. My tabby obsessively cleans himself but I rarely catch Bear cleaning. He really loves scratching posts, when I come home he goes to town on them. He doesn't destroy anything else though...I'm just wondering if he is a weird cat.
Thanks for the...
I have a male Maine Coon who's 1y10mos named Bear. He was a stray as a kitten for the first 4 weeks of his life then he was cared for by the Humane Society. When I first adopted Bear, I liked him because he was derpy all the time and not to mention adorable. He was very attached to me (and...
