Turkish Angora's have been cross-bred, so not all of them are white.

We've been on the hunt to identify his ancestry and personality-wise, the Turk checks all the boxes.

Just curious on everyone else's opinions.

Sorry, I just realized I posted this in the wrong forum. How do I delete my post?

Hi! There are things about him, his tail, his ears, that lead me to believe there may be some Angora influence :)

Am I wrong to think the odds are slim unless you live in, say, Turkey? Where did you find your cat? If it was just a stray or random US adoption it is almost without a doubt just a mixed breed cat with traits that may resemble a certain breed.

I’d say probably not a Turkish Angora mix. Turkish Angoras have a longer, more slender body and bigger ears. I think that Norwegian Forest Cat is a closer comparison. Technically, without papers, he would be considered a smoke and white Domestic Shorthair. I say smoke instead of solid black because I can see that when his fur is parted, the roots are white.
