hello! I took in a very pregnant stray cat and she had six kittens, I’m currently feeding them Royal Canin starter mousse but they’re starting to eat more and it is too expensive to keep them on it now because they only come in tiny cans and there are six babies. I am hoping to switch them to a...
Thank you! I was mostly asking because I’m wondering if I should take her to the vets. It doesn’t seem worth the risk to take her to the vets because that can be very stressful and there is a lot of bacteria and sick animals that go to the vet.
Hello I took in a stray cat and I’m pretty sure she’s pregnant. If I take her to a vet will they be able to tell me how far along she is? Her belly is a little swelled so I’m thinking she’s four or five weeks pregnant. Thank you.
Thank you @Norachan ! I’m definitely going to put a strong roof over my catio to protect my babies, I was worried that the cats might use woods chips as cat litter :gaah: maybe I’ll put sod down, the area where I’m planning to plant the catio has a dry dirt on the ground so that’s not very fun...
@LTS3 hello! Thank you for letting me know! I wasn’t planing on using the human ones but now I know for sure not to, I was looking on amazon and found a set of four of the self heat pads you mentioned. I think I’m going to buy those for my cats, I read that some cats don’t like the crinkle noise...
@Furballsmom
That’s funny he sounds like my big boy! :flail:My big cat is so territorial when he was younger he saw an orange cat that was much bigger than him and they were having a stare down. I got scared and politely shooed the big orange cat away but my cat tried to chase after him and I...
@1CatOverTheLine
Thank you!! That’s a great thread for me!! I’m going to look at it more thoroughly but I read that someone suggested planting mint and basil which sounds nice!! There’s lots of great tips on there I’ll keep in mind since I’m moving! :thanks:
Thank you for your help!! I’ll look for an electric heater that has the safety features maybe, thank you for including that link to that heating pad I’ll look at that because I might end up needing one for my cats, I’m moving to a new place so I’m not sure yet how cold they will be. I didn’t...
Ok thank you I’ll look for that! I sleep in a hammock and usually my cats climb into it with me but if I feel like they get cold I would love to buy them a heating pad! I know they sell heating pads for humans that can be set to cool and aren’t very expensive but I would prefer to buy the pet...
Stop Everything And Make This Tree Stump Cat Scratch Pad
Hello, I’ve included a link to make a cat tree stump out of cardboard, it’s not a very fancy diy but I think it’s very cute and I feel like cats would like it! I plan on making it myself soon.
Hello, my bedroom gets cold for me and the central heating is expensive to heat the whole house so I was wondering if anyone knows if heaters are safe for cats? Also does anyone know a specific heater that is safe? Thank you so much!! :thanks:
I would try the mesh route especially because I feel they would like to climb mesh easier than a wire but I have to use wire because they’re lots of predators like coyotes in my area. Do your cats go outside to your catio even when it’s cold? Thank you!! :purr:
:geekcat:Hello! I am planing on building a catio for my babies and I was wondering if anyone has any cute or cool ideas for the catio? Also does anyone know if wood chips are a good idea? Or if sod is better? Thank you in advance!!
