hello everyone My cat pele (who is on steroids and a low dose of leukeran) has recently started meowing from 4am - 6am. He doesn’t seem to want food or cuddles, he kind of just stairs off in the distance and meows (loudly) - wondering what to do? I feel so guilty putting him in another room...

Thanks ☺️ the treat eating was short lived but he’s trying to sleep (sleeping w his head down which he doesn’t normally do so think he might be in pain, going to give him pain med soon and prob take him to vet (new one) tomorrow - looked up pancreatitis and sounds like him? Will keep you posted!

He ate about 5 treats (took a long time and they kinda fall out of his mouth) and groomed himself a bit (hasn’t been doing that as much since this all started)..maybe some progress?

Thanks everyone- you all have been super helpful. He seems very playful and affectionate right now, maybe rhe appetite stimulant is starting to kick in? Also I’ve been petting his face and doesn’t seem phased at all so I’m starting to rule out oral issues? We’ve tried everything w food, heating...

Was able to get the app stimulant to him, he did lick up some juice from a can of tuna but that’s it - I noticed when he was licking up the juice he would take a 2-3 licks then lick his front leg, then repeat this sequence a few times then stop eating ...also the first time he took a sip he...

My husband will be back tomorrow and also his cat sitter used to be a vet tech so I’m hoping to get more help tomorrow ....I moved the box back, anything is worth a shot at this point

I tried getting him in the towel and he’s fighting back and now runs away when I approach him ...took him to angell in Boston today for emergency visit and vet didn’t seem overly concerned which surprised me too. One thing that I just realized it that we moved his litter box about 6ft over...

Thanks all appreciate the quick replies! he won’t eat a thing, tried everything and he usually eats pretty much anything...he’s at the point now where he won’t even approach the food, or he walks up to it, smells it and turns away

hi All My cat Leo has stopped eating after a vet apt (blood test and urinalysis) on Tuesday. We took him back to his regular vet on Friday and again today (emergency) on Saturday. Vet gave him another quick blood test and things looked normal, but test for pancreatitis is coming back Tuesday...

Thanks Susan M! Leo is 14, I am wondering if it’s a) he’s seeing us give our older cat meds and not liking it or b) maybe reacting to static electricity? He got shocked a couple of times last week when I pet him - it’s still going on tho so I’m thinking it’s about the meds? Will keep u posted!
