Can You Help Me Find A Thread/post?

Yesterday while searching the forums I ran into what seemed to be a really helpful post. It was someone posting about what they do for their FIV+ cat on a daily basis, and was asking for additional tips/tricks. The only things I remember is that it was like a bulleted list, and she mentioned...

Yes, that seems to be about the range here too. Thanks again Antonio.

    Nebulizer Recommendations

Thanks Neely. How awesome that your kitty was able to get nebulizer treatments at no cost. We rescued a kitten last year who turned out to be very sick, and one of the things the vet had us do (they charged us though) is bring him in for nebulizing treatments...we did that for about a week...

    Nebulizer Recommendations

Thanks Antonio. My local supermarket pharmacy carried one, and Walmart pharmacy carried a few. But of course I couldn't test them...so I took a few pictures of their model #s and will do a little research to see if I can learn something about their "quietness." There's a medical supply store...

    Nebulizer Recommendations

The FIV+ kitty I'm fostering has a URI, and the vet recommended a nebulizer. Can anyone recommend one? (I know I can make my own, but would rather just buy something because that way I can just order it.) Thank you!

At my wit's end- spirometra "fish tapeworm"

Yeah, I would give it a shot to see if it worked with the treats. If it did, would definitely be less stressful.

At my wit's end- spirometra "fish tapeworm"

I will - just realized that I never answered your question re: pilling her at home - I added it above.

At my wit's end- spirometra "fish tapeworm"

Thank you for trying to help I appreciate it. I do have a message out to a local vet who deals with a lot of ferals/strays and often helps on a public board. My understanding is that the dose should given 2 consecutive days. Although perhaps that needs to be repeated in 2 weeks. And I'm with...

At my wit's end- spirometra "fish tapeworm"

Yeah, I was just hoping someone here would know the answer, but that's what I'm going to have to end up doing. I was just hoping for some kind of reference before doing it. The information out there is clear and specific for treating Spirometra for the pills, but not for the injectable. I am...

At my wit's end- spirometra "fish tapeworm"

Hi @Sarthur2 she is a little bit under 7 pounds. Right - that's the dosage - but for Spirometra it needs to be doubled. The regular dosage will not kill Spirometra. That's why I'm thinking it's too low but I am not sure if the injectable is different than the pill.

At my wit's end- spirometra "fish tapeworm"

Hi, I know this is an old thread, but I am hoping someone can help me. I have a cat I am taking care of and she was diagnosed with spirometra. For the same reasons as the OP (she is semi-feral and not a good patient) they decided against the pills, so she received a Droncit injection today. She...

Stools Don't Look Right - And Nervous About Vet Visit

I'm on hold with the vet's office. I plugged in the Feliway for her, I'm thinking I'll take it with me and plug it in at the vet's too. I am really agonizing about having to take her for another vet visit. :( Every time she starts to trust me a little...:( Here's one of her latest pictures...

Stools Don't Look Right - And Nervous About Vet Visit

I am taking care of a stray cat (I am no longer calling her a feral, as i don't believe she is). I am trying to socialize her with the intention of finding her a good home. She seems to trust me more and more, has been a slow process, but there is progress. Her poop looked weird last night...

First Trap, Afraid Of Doing Wrong Thing

This could be, Shane. I really got to see her whole body when we were at the vet's office and her poor little tail looked worse than I had expected. :(

First Trap, Afraid Of Doing Wrong Thing

I think what was confusing me is that she got the RCP vaccine. I thought that was the one that gave the positive once they're vaccinated. But I did some research today and see that it's not. So I can still get her tested for FeLV/FIV. Of course, I regret so much not having more calm the day I...

First Trap, Afraid Of Doing Wrong Thing

It would be good. :( I do leave the door to the carrier and the crate open, and I've been putting the food to the side of the carrier so she has to come out and find it. That's still within the crate though. I thought today that maybe I need to start putting the food elsewhere OUTSIDE the crate...
