Yes, I thinks so. He clearly has some Bengal Ancestry...
You mention Siamese. Does he has blue eyes? Photos aren't always accurate... Pointed Bengals are called snow Bengals (they do tend to be whitish for some reason).
Probably not, your kitty looks like a domestic calico striped tabby. Bengals have rosettes so pattern and appearance wise there's nothing I see that screams Bengal. Being crazy, active, loud, liking water, etc are all pretty normal cat traits especially if she's young
All Bengals are tabbies, very few tabbies are Bengals. Your boy looks to be a brown classic tabby pattern domestic (ie no breed ancestry, like almost all cats out there). The marble pattern was bred into Bengals, it doesn't come from them.
Adorable but no bengal. Even if there ARE spotted (non rosette) bengals.
I suppose yours may be called for spotted tabby, even if some will probably call him for broken mackere.
I think she is pure bengal. She looks exactly like my cat who is a charcoal seal lynx bengal.
There are three types if snow bengals - seal lynx, seal mink, seal sepia. Seal lynx is the lightest and are the only ones with those ice blue eyes your cat has.
Your cat looks darker than some of the...
You have a very pretty Domestic Shorthair cat. The tabby pattern is one that does not occur in Bengals, but is common in many other breeds and the random cat population. The personality traits you listed are not unique to Bengals, or any other specific breed, even if they are different from your...
...for a cat to be a mix. The behavior traits are all cat, some are more wild, some are more sedate. There are plenty of lazy inactive lower gen bengals and hyperactive wild domestics out there. Bengals and ocicats are spotted not striped also so nothing about the pattern looks similar really.
Classic tabby like your kitty is the oldest tabby pattern in existence, it's been around thousand of years before Bengals were ever created and it was bred into them. The spotted belly is a tabby trait and everything else sounds pretty normal for a cat of any background. I don't see any Bengal...
He is beautiful! i agree with the above, classic tabby. Usually the 'spots' turn into stripes as they age, but your kitty kept them, somewhat unusual. Bengals have 'eyes' in their spots, they are usually a darker center surrounded by a circle of dark fur, or 'rosettes'. More like a rose opening.
...Dog, they’re best friends. The clients that surrendered him said he’s a marble bengal, although a lot of people bring in DSH’s and call them bengals. I’m the only person at the clinic that doesn’t believe he’s a bengal. I think it’s his face structure that’s throwing me off, as every other...
Thank you!!! I feek like everybody feels like they have a bengal! I didn't think he was until my pet sitter said he was half. I appreciate your response!
The classic tabby pattern is gorgeous, and occurs in many breeds and non-pedigreed cats. It doesn't occur in the same form in Bengals. The CFA breed standard describes it as a Marble Tabby Pattern. "The Marble pattern is a modified classic tabby pattern with horizontal, diagonal, or random...
...The breed is defined more by the shape of the head and body type.
I don't see any features in your kitty that are exclusive to either Bengals or American Shorthairs. I would call her a DSH (Domestic Shorthair) with a classic tabby pattern. Whatever you call her, she's gorgeous. What is...
She is gorgeous 😻 She looks like a snow bengal mix to me maybe or pet quality as Stefan said. That is rare to get as a rescue without them telling you a history. Did the shelter tell your parents her background at all? Color would be snow mink or sepia I think. Here is a link.
