I think we are going to the vet tomorrow because I am finding spots of blood everywhere this must be coming from the mother.
Kitten 1&2 seem fine and noticeably bigger

I'm sorry to hear about N° 7. Is she taking care of Number 3 now? Perhaps she is the one you are planning to keep?
yes you get attached number 3 would be my first choice to keep, I still keep finding number 3 and 8 away from the mother number 3 seems a little bigger now I think I l will lose number eight despite my efforts

This is going to seem remarkably stupid but kitten 7 is back from the dead mum cat did not eat it instead she just buried it under clothes in her box

I am glad for you richo since you had so much regretted N° 7 's disappearance without having been able to confirm his status. I wonder if N°6 is not also "buried" somewhere.

Number 6 was very dead I left the mother licking the fur off it while i took the other kittens to the vet when i returned it had vanished I've changed the bedding several times since then

richo, are you still finding clots of blood everywhere? Has the vet seen your mom cat since this has been happening?
Did the vet say what are the chances of treating the little one with the deformed leg?

there is no more blood . the one with the leg problem was born after i took the other kittens to the vet so the vet hasn't seen it
I am hoping to get it over 100g before the vet sees it otherwise it will be a negative visit, it was 70g at birth its currently 95g

They have all been to the vet today and the 3 kittens seen in the pic are the most likely to survive :(

What is wrong with the baby's leg? Sometimes babies are born with twisted legs, but these can often improve with gentle massage, or a splint. Especially with so many kittens in the uterus at once, it's sometimes the case that a kitten has a curled or twisted leg simply from being cramped inside mom.

The vet is hoping a simple procedure like you describe will correct the problem but at the moment certain weight targets need to be acheived

It's quite common to get small kittens in large litters, especially when the mother has been stray or feral. Are you able to feed the KMR supplement to the kittens? Even if Mum is feeding them extra KMR will help.

Do you have any cooking scales? Can you weigh the kittens every day to make sure they are gaining weight?

A few videos here that might help.

Vibes for the little ones, I hope they all make it.

I feed them Beaphar Lactol kitten milk and
synulox and i have scales now. Syulox has sorted kitten 3 breathing issues and now the mother cat doesn't reject him anymore

Are you able to bottle feed the larger ones to allow the mom nurse the weaker ones? That is what my vet recommends.
I will try that idea thanks .
I was too upset to say anything at the time but mum cat chomped holes in the bellys of two of her kittens trying to cut the umbilical cord. The surviving kitten still has a large red lump on its belly (its on antibiotics)

my little one has been dealing with something similar and is on Biomoxx for it. She is responding well so have hope for your little one! :alright::vibes::heartshape: Kittens can be especially resilient. This was Bella's tummy ten days ago: 20190506_132105.jpg
