You mean pancreatitis?
Cerenia comes in tablets and injections.
The package for tablets says for dogs oly, the injections are for both cats and dogs.
If you're in doubt ask your vet and see if he can hand you some syringes with injectable Cerenia instead of pills.
In my opinion it's even easier to administer and there isn't the risk that your cat throws up the pills some minutes later.

I have just finished a four-day course of injections for my cat and it worked a treat from day one.
My cat has (has had) a pancreatitis too with a more than suspect IBD, I know what you're through.

Yes the Vet is using Cerenia off label. It's for both dogs and cats. I second the injections. The vial is expensive to buy-so better to have a few syringes made up-keep the syringes with Cerenia in the frig. It will sting less.
I had very good results with Cerenia for all three of my cats during illnesses.

Cerenia was recently approved for use in cats even though its been used off label for quite some time, its close to a miracle drug. Injectable is good when your cat wont take pills or can't keep them down but its important to give the injection into a bolus of sub q fluids to prevent stinging which will hurt. What that means is you first give sub q fluids, say 50ml's as an example and only then do you inject the cerenia so that it goes into that "hump" of fluids diluting it so it doesn't sting.

When Tommy had several hospital stays we were using that as an injectable for transport so he wouldn't get himself worked up in the carrier and start vomiting and drooling and risk dehydration. I wish someone would give me pills I could give him an hour before his regular vet appointments because the vet is so far away.
