    Harvest Mites

Thanks for that tip. I bought a herbal tea ( forget the name ) some years ago but didn't use it after reading it may not be safe if licked. Chamomile sounds ideal.

    Harvest Mites

Every Year my little cat suffers dreadfully from her allergic reaction to harvest mites. Vet. products, lotions, potions do not work. Last year I did not use any, in an effort to build up her own immune response. I used steroid and antibiotic cream for the really bad sores, made worse by her...

My cat died a horrible death.. can anyone tell me the cause

Thank you for asking. I still miss him and think about him. I feel his spirit is still here. I am having many challenges at the moment in dealing with loss and death. I find that watching videos by some of the 'metaphysical' '' masters help. There are not many that treat include the death of...

Angst about leaving my blind kitty for several weeks

Oh and I have no friends here that could do this. She scratched my cousins face to bits when he tried to cuddle her, failing to understand that being blind, one has to wait for her to feel comfortable before she will come to them. She knows my sister.... so fingers crossed my sister says yes.

Angst about leaving my blind kitty for several weeks

AH, we think alike. I have just thought my sister should move into my bedroom. I hope I can talk her into it. She IS very kind hearted but can be stubborn.

Angst about leaving my blind kitty for several weeks

actually... just thinking.. If I can talk my sister into moving into my bedroom, it would help Lotti. I tried to talk her into removing Millie ( better able to tolerate a new environment ) to stay with my other sister, but she refused to entertain that thought. Its kind of unfair that she made...

Angst about leaving my blind kitty for several weeks

I would Love to take her with me BUT I am going to the other end of the planet; Australia, from Ireland. She would need rabies vaccines, 6 months quarantine there etc, plus long flight. I wouldn't do it to her, even if I was returning permanently. If it was somewhere in Europe, I would take her...

Angst about leaving my blind kitty for several weeks

I am not sure what to do. Her name is Lotti. She is aprox. 10years old and I am 'her life' in many ways. I rescued her when she was a few weeks old. One eye is completely sightless and she has partial sight ( can see shadows ) in the other eye. She has a complex personality that I understand. I...

My cat died a horrible death.. can anyone tell me the cause

@silentmeowlook mentioned this also. I tried to do cpr on him but had no idea how on a cat. I must check if there is such a thing for cats. Fluid came out of his mouth so possibly pulmonary oedema which ties in with the cardiomyopathy and saddle thrombosis. I remember when I had him neutered, I...

My cat died a horrible death.. can anyone tell me the cause

Poppy is 100% feral. She will sneak into the bedrooms at night ( mine has my own cat's food inside) and not show fear at a distance, but will not allow me to touch her. I Have left The box I placed Appollo in after he died, outside for her to sniff and know he died. I have also left food on my...

My cat died a horrible death.. can anyone tell me the cause

Thank you for your kind words. He was dead within 10-15 minutes. We didn't make it in. When I rang back to ask the possible cause of death, after describing the symptoms, they would not say without doing an autopsy.

My cat died a horrible death.. can anyone tell me the cause

Thank you all for your sympathy. It is good to be among people who understand the grief of losing a member of the family, which he was. He was a stray cat. I engage in trap, neuter, release for stray and feral cats. He was HUGE, very furry like a toy and loved being cuddled. He was indoors with...

My cat died a horrible death.. can anyone tell me the cause

I awoke to him meowing in a distressed manner, like a cat does before vomiting. He was dragging his hind legs on the floor, trying to get to the kitchen. Froth appeared at sides of mouth, and he was trying to vomit. His screaming was very distressing as I tried to call the vet. I felt so...
