Siamese Cat is destroying my life (again!)

Right, Finally got a moment to myself :)   I have made HUGE progress with squitten, the quiet training is really working for me and my son, the night before last she had a really good long shout but when she stopped and sat down I gave her treats and fuss and she looked a bit thoughtful, (should...

Siamese Cat is destroying my life (again!)

Again I'd love to get vets behaviorist etc but can't find one who will take insurance payout. They all want money up front. Which is not a option in my life. We've had a year of hell and heartbreak with our cats starting last may when our beloved Amy bean died. She had been squittens companion...

Siamese Cat is destroying my life (again!)

When I last took squitten to the vet it was about a abcess not her behavior. Again I would love to take her back but I'm self employed and I haven't sold any of my work for months so don't have the money for vets. She has excellent insurance but there's a hundred pounds excess. I spent the only...

Siamese Cat is destroying my life (again!)

Am surprised at those answers. I honestly think there must be other things I could try before giving up on a cat. We've been together 8 years (personaly that's longer than any relationship I've been in) she was at the vets a couple of months ago and got a clean bill of health. I would like to...

Siamese Cat is destroying my life (again!)

I posted on here last November about my cat, squitten (spayed siamese female, 8 years old)  She had fallen out with my partners cat Star:  (spayed female, part Siamese, one year old)  and we have lived in hell ever since.  We reintroduced them, tried simultaneous feeding, spent a fortune on...

Siamese cat suddenly started being aggressive towards our other cat?

Will try the old scent towel trick on them, Billys a spayed female so wasn't sure if that made a difference. Squitten has been known to really nip the tender spots under other cats legs when she thinks no ones looking as well as other small nasty things, never really solved it to be honest, she...

Siamese cat suddenly started being aggressive towards our other cat?

Anyone got a clue whats going on here?  A week ago, Star (half Siamese female ,  spayed, 9 months old) had a bit of a set too in the garden with a cat who lives two doors away (Billy, tabby, 5 years old spayed female), I heard it inside so went out and my other cat Squitten (Siamese spayed...

New cat not settling in, very hissy, aggressive towards our kitten, going to be rehomed if she can't

Its not just a case of Lena being grumpy, an hour or so ago we let her into the room with little Star, she went straight over to where Star was asleep and hissed at her, scaring Star awake, my partner is not going to put up with anyone behaving aggressively towards his kitten, and quite rightly...

New cat not settling in, very hissy, aggressive towards our kitten, going to be rehomed if she can't

Spent the evening on the cat from hell website, wow! there's some cats with issues there! most interesting though, wish they'd repeat it on UK telly (they repeat everything else here!) To be honest the initial introduction did not go well, the breeder we bought Lena from brought her over and...

New cat not settling in, very hissy, aggressive towards our kitten, going to be rehomed if she can't

Hi all, we acquired a 3 month old Siamese cross kitten called Star and a one year old (rather inbred, cross eyed) oriental called Lena within days of each other from different homes a few weeks ago, I also have a resident Siamese cat , Squitten who's 7.  We've done introductions, lots of...

We lost our beloved Blue point Amy-Bean last week (9), a tiny cat thats left a elephant size hole in our home and hearts, our remaining seal point Squitten (7, no relation to Amy-Bean)is rapidly getting more and more noisy and clingie, she was bad enough before we lost Amy-Bean but shes...

Whats going on in my cats ear?

Back from the vets, its a infection caused by harvest mites, couple of injections and she should be back to normal soon, Yay! On the down side, my other cat needs expensive dental treatment, thats not going to be much fun for her!

Whats going on in my cats ear?

I will be taking her to a vet as soon as I can, just wondered if it was anything common in cats or something obvious to anyone...
