    Vital Essentials Raw Mini Patties?

Thank you this is very helpful. I tried using the food calculator that VE has on their site and it was saying I would feed my 3 year old and my two raggies less than 2 mini patties each a day (1.2-1.4ish is what it said) and I thought that seemed like a very small amount.

    Vital Essentials Raw Mini Patties?

Hello everyone! I am considering switching my gang to the Vital Essentials mini patties. Does anyone have experience with these? I was thinking of doing the frozen ones as I normally prefer frozen over freeze-dried. How much should I expect to go through in a month with a gang of 3? I have a 3...

    FirstMate canned food

Has anyone used this food? Is it any good? I was going through a coupon book I was sent from my local natural pet food store and there was a coupon for FirstMate canned cat food. If it's a high quality food I would pick up a few cans for my girl River to try. She has a bit of a sensitive tummy.

    Raw feeding question

Looking for some recommendations. My girl River eats Primal frozen raw and has for almost the entire time I have had her, almost 2 years. She is 2 years and 2 months old. After some research, I have realized the Primal frozen cat formulas all have veggies/fruits in them that my girl does not...

    Canned food recommendations?

My cat River is a 2 year old Russian Blue female weighing in between 9 and 9.5 lbs. She has been fed a combo of Primal raw nuggets and canned food for over a year now. She has a sensitive stomach. I am looking for some recommendations on wet foods to try for her that are grain-free, carrageenan...

    Question about home-cooked meat

No, she gets little cubes of boiled chicken as kind of a "treat" while she is getting her insulin to distract her. That is not her diet alone. My cat currently eats a variety of wet and freeze-dried raw foods with a rotation of proteins. I am talking about a bit of boiled chicken as somewhat...

    Question about home-cooked meat

My dog was recently diagnosed with diabetes and since then we have been giving her plain boiled chicken because she needs only protein. My cat River has been wanting to get at the chicken as well so my question is, is plain boiled chicken (no salt or anything) okay to give to her?

1 year old female with a sensitive tummy

I struggled for a month or so trying to find my cat River (she is now 1 year old) a wet canned food that worked for her and her sensitive tummy. I wanted her on a rotation but finding her a food that was grain-free and carrageenan free and that worked was hard enough, let alone several foods...

    Stinky pee!

We are really hoping it is just his hormones needing to level out. We have kept a pretty good eye on him and he doesn't seem to use the litter box anymore often than our two girls and he doesn't strain or vocalize while in the litter box.  We wish we could have neutered him earlier but we did...

    Stinky pee!

Hi guys, I have a concern. We have two female cats and they are both spayed. Their pee is odorless. Our newest addition is a male, 1year, and he was neutered three weeks ago. His pee smells AWFUL. I thought perhaps the pee smelled worse because he wasn't neutered, but it's been three weeks. Does...

Suggestions on how to begin transitioning our new cat to wet food

We have a new rescue cat who is a 15 month old male domestic long hair. He came from a home where he was not well taken care of and was on a horrible diet (low quality dry ferret food) we have gotten him on a healthier dey food diet but when we tried to introduce him to our other cats wet food...

Questions about newly neutered one year old male

We have a new male cat who is about 15 months old that we just had neutered about a week and a half ago. He is a rescue. He wanders into random rooms of the house and meows loudly. We understand this is often a way male cats attract mates. We are wondering if this behavior will go away on its...

Is my cat getting enough water?

@Lokhismom after doing a lot of calorie hunting on her foods, I figured she was getting enough. From what I have found, they need anywhere from 18-30 calories per pound. What she gets daily is about 230-235 calories. Which is about 27.5 calories per pound since she is 8.5 pounds.

    Is Purina bad?

I wouldn't say Purina is bad, I just stay away from it because Purina doesn't have the best reputation and I am a little iffy on some of the ingredients. If that is what works best for little Max and his sensitive stomach, I wouldn't say you need to change. However, my cat River has a sensitive...

Is my cat getting enough water?

When I rescued River at 4 months old, I took her to the vet the day after I got her and they ran blood/urine tests to check if everything was all clear for her to be spayed. Everything came back good except the vet said her urine was some of the most concentrated he had ever seen and he...
