FirstMate canned food

Has anyone used this food? Is it any good? I was going through a coupon book I was sent from my local natural pet food store and there was a coupon for FirstMate canned cat food. If it's a high quality food I would pick up a few cans for my girl River to try. She has a bit of a sensitive tummy.

i haven't tried the FirstMate canned food for my cats.

i did some searching here on TCS, and found this thread where another member was asking about it, like you are -- http://www.thecatsite.com/t/311525/...oks-really-great-carageenan-and-guar-gum-free   it looks like a couple people's cat(s) did like it, but a couple other people thought it was a bit 'carby'.

Yes! My local pet store that sells a huge variety of higher end foods includes FirstMate. My cats like it for the most part. They usually are not very good at eating the premium foods but will eat First Mate. It has some broth with it that mixed in with the food, makes it especially appealing for reasons only kitties understand.

I got a few sample cans from the company several months ago and none of my cats would eat it. That's definitely not to say it isn't worth trying.
