they did do urine cultures as far as i'm aware. He had surgery yesterday which went well, they removed nearly 30 crystals from his bladder, shaped like starfish, & a few had lodged in his urethra, not fully blocking it, but partially. As long as he is recovering well tosay he can come home...

Yes, now i know what the issue is & i'm prepared for what is required, i feel less stressed about medicating him, even if he really hates me for it for a while. My vet is ringing me today (it was a different vet updating me yesterday) to confirm everything & Malachi should be coming home today
