Dorito has a respiratory infection. I got some medicine for him and I'm going to keep an eye on the other cats (especially Poppy because she's also a little baby and shares a room with him) for any symptoms.
Surgeries went great (the boy is, as expected, pretty much back to normal already lol. A bit of calm play, really enthusiastic about food. My girl has been really sleepy and her appetite isn't really back yet but I think that's normal as long as it doesn't last past tomorrow) , hopefully...
7 weeks is a bit young to leave their family, especially since you have no kittens or young cats, only older cats who might not tolerate kitten antics.
I'm thinking most likely just a brown tabby. I see quite a few brown tabby kittens with "orange" (actually a warm light brown colour) on their heads be mistaken for calico.
I'm actually probably getting them TODAY! The rescue figured it would be easier for me to pick them up directly from the vet clinic where they're getting fixed (fairly close to my job) after work rather than wait until Saturday and go to the other side of town.
The babies got washed... (I still don't have them yet! I thought they'd be home by now but because the vets are so clogged up I won't get them until the 16th)
Someone I talk to online has this beautiful calico/tortie-and-white DSH, but I have no idea what colour she is. Her non-orange areas look kind of like lilac to me, but her orange areas seem too dark for her to be dilute anything.
