    Question about mealtimes - trauma?

I know the go around feeding wet and making sure it’s a complete diet food with the literal tick of approval. I’m only feeding Royal Canin or Hills at the moment with freeze dried kanga snacks and the creamy treats as treats☺️Like I said earlier, they’re eating a combo of wet and dry food and...

    Question about mealtimes - trauma?

Thanks for the replies!! I did consider dry food puzzles, I think they would both love that… they’re so smart. I’ll add another meal in and see what I can do to swap or at least hydrate the kibble meal to make it moister for their digestion☺️

    Question about mealtimes - trauma?

I'm not feeding them overnight, no. They dont leave a crumb behind of their AM or PM feeds. I could keep the pouch of wet food in when I get home from work (so essentially their dinner) but add one more pouch in right before bed perhaps? I do like the kibble for budgeting purposes - I'm in...

    Question about mealtimes - trauma?

Thanks for all the insights!! They're both 7 months old, just to clarify that. Seb is completely relaxed around food... that's the reason for my question, because it's a stark difference in attitudes between the two. I'm giving them each enough dry food in the AM to meet the recommendation for...

    Question about mealtimes - trauma?

Hi all!! I've posted previously about introducing our new 7mth old ragdoll to our existing boy. I appreciate the support so so much and they are now thick as thieves:hearthrob: My question is now about our new kitty and his almost trauma-like obsession with food. BACKGROUND: Blu came from a...

Cat intro question - two ragdolls update

Thanks for all the input, it is so so appreciated! We had our first night last night of the two cats together and they both seem fine in the morning and zonked from running around all night😅I think we’re good!

Cat intro question - two ragdolls update

Oh the irony, as I typed that and then left a remote meeting, I walked into them both lying on the bed like loaves quite chilled. Got some purrs from Seb as I patted him and gave them both a treat for being so chilled. Now they've gotten a bit more active and are chasing each other a bit...

Cat intro question - two ragdolls update

Hi all! Seb - Male ragdoll, 6 months old. Was neutered 4 weeks ago. Have had him for about 3 months, previously lived as a kitten with another kitten and 1yo male before we adopted him. Seb has always been outgoing and playful. Seb's a big boy but Blu has put some weight and size on recently...

    Mixed messages from my cats

Hi all, Ive posted a few times now over introducing two ragdolls - Seb and Blu. I'm a chronic overthinker so here we are again:cheerleader: b - Male ragdoll, 6 months old. Was neutered 3 weeks ago. Have had him for about 2 months, previously lived as a kitten with another kitten and 1yo male...

Supplementing for extra vitamins + minerals?

Hi all!:D I have two floofs - Seb and Blu, both 6 month old ragdolls. They currently have dry kitten food in the AM (about 7am) and access to this all day, then a wet food pouch at about 6pm. I remove the wet food before bed so it doesn't attract ants and go bad etc. They're having Royal Canin...

Dominant... but he's still a kitten?

Hi all! Second thread from me regarding a kitten introduction I'm going through. Seb - Male ragdoll, 6 months old. Was neutered 2 weeks ago. Have had him for about 2 months, previously lived as a kitten with another kitten and 1yo male before we adopted him. Seb has always been outgoing and...

    male cats not getting along

Oh that is quite positive, isn't it? Happy to hear that it's settling down over time. Gives me hope that my cat (he's 6mths) just needs some time to adjust to his new friend.

    male cats not getting along

Hi! How did this end up going? Sounds a lot like what's happening with my two boys - resident kitten chases and jumps on new cat. New cat will hide for a bit but generally ends up coming back out quickly. He follows resident cat around the house and is happy to sit near him usually though.

    Introducing ragdolls - help!

Hi all, Bit of an update, probably moreso for my sanity than anything else. There has been some nice moments of reciprocal play between the two of them, mainly when Blu has a sudden jolt of spiciness towards Seb. Seb gets very zoomie-ish when this happens. Blu has a few times put Seb in his...

    Introducing ragdolls - help!

Yes I do feel he is super territorial given he's 6 months old and a raggie too with previous cat experience. My head says to separate for a bit and keep site swapping them, mainly to get Blu confident in the environment. Blu is also quite small compared to Seb but also boney, so would be good to...
