I bought a pottery wheel and a kiln today! A guy was advertising them on Facebook and I negotiated him down to $750 for both of them which is a pretty good deal. Now I just need to set up the basement room that the wheel is going in and update my electrical in the garage so I can run the kiln in there.

Is this going to be a hobby a business or both ?

I just love the green edges. Is the top metal or wood? When I moved into this house a small stove like the one In your picture was left in the basement. It’s actually quite nice to have an extra stove for big family meals.
it’s a metal enamel top. There’s also an old 1950’s fridge in the basement, but neither work. When I was a kid it worked and my mother did use it occasionally.

You know, I can vaguely remember seeing that exact same table, sometime in my early life. I cannot remember where it was... I know it has to be from my preschool years. Strange how some things just 'jolt' your hidden memories..

Or was it at my Aunt's house? I cannot remember exactly.. but I know I saw it.. and people were using it.

Me too. I think it was my grandmothers house. AbbysMom AbbysMom , I do think the metal top can be saved. Just stripper, sanding and repainting

I don't know if it was from the 50's or 60's but my mother's fridge was not self-defrosting and I still remember her having to take everything out to defrost it. However, appliances lasted a lot longer than they do now. 😉

My positive is talking to my husband's Aunt who turns 97 this year. :hearthrob: She's sharp as a tack although not without some physical health issues. She's up on all the latest news, politics and current events. She uses an iPad and likes when I send her jokes.

My positive is I have 5 packages coming today. Kinda stressful to open them all and find a place for everything though. I really need to stick to ordering only on Mondays! I'll do that starting next week, even if they send me good coupons. But it's positive to have all these fun foods/drinks to try.
