grabbing feed and throwing it on the ground for the goats and sheep. She also tried to eat some of it herself
Fun girl! I'd hang out with her. ♥ Sounds like she had fun seeing all the animals...

My positive is I placed my Monday order. I decided on Thrive Market. I got 2 Barley Milk, 2 Barista Barley Milk, 2 Flax Milk, 2 Pea/Oat/Flax Milk, 2 Oat Milk, 4 Vanilla Protein Shakes, Vanilla Granola Butter, Jalapeno Oat Crackers, Holiday Spice Cashews, and a free gift of Nutpods Cookie Butter Creamer. I hate how they make you buy 2 of everything now.

My positive is my Thrive Market order will be here today. That was fast! I don't know how they can get it here in one day, I just ordered it yesterday. But I tracked it and it does indeed say on truck for delivery. Wow.

The last of the debris/scrap metal from last winter’s work in the basement is gone! I loaded up the car this morning, everything surprisingly fit, and hauled the pile of metal to a scrap recycling place. Backing my vehicle in between a minefield of dumpsters was a bit scary, as were the characters that ran the place but I was done quick. My car is going to get a well earned professional wash and vacuum later.

My mother called yesterday to say she was coming today to bring veggies left from a party thing. What she actually did was basically come here and set up a little chartreuse board on a plate complete with rolls from a local German bakery, Greek olives and fancy cheeses with cranberries and apricots in it. We only lacked meats. I can't stop eating the cheese. The 4 of us basically polished everything off.

I was in bad need of a hair cut and made an appointment at the beauty shop for today. I got a call last night that the stylist was unable to come in so I was asked if they could switch me to someone else. Turns out the stylist they switched me to called in sick this morning and no one else had any availability BUT they gave me a generous gift card to come back another day. All's well that ends well.

I call that a snack plate! Probably because I don't know how to pronounce or spell charcuterie board. What kinds of cheese did she bring? I always like to hear about cheese...

That's cool. Now you can go with the original hair cutter if you want. She's called a Stylist? I think I just call it hair cutter or hair dresser. Good to know. But I cut my own hair now, so I guess it doesn't really matter anymore. Ha!

My positive is I think this Barley Milk is starting to grow on me. I didn't like it at first, but I ordered some more to try again. My favorite will probably always be Almond or Oat Milk, but it's fun to try other kinds.

I had a fun project today. I bought a chenille bedspread early last winter and while I love its texture and weight, I haven’t been as crazy about it’s faded looking blue grey color. So today I bought some fabric dye and now it is a beautiful soft teal color. I did the dyeing in the washer so it wasn’t nearly as messy as I thought it would be and it turned out much better than I expected.

My positive is helping solve a friend's problem with a young pup she recently adopted. The puppy who is just under a year old wasn't doing well with a crate and due to it's size she was having trouble holding him on the leash. 🐾

My positive is I really like the flavored nuts I bought. I usually just buy plain raw nuts, but these are spicy and sweet, and I think roasted. Yum! So many ways I can use them. Now that I know I like them, maybe I will find other brands and flavors I like.

I am such a proud cat parent today. When I left to run an errand Willow was hiding behind the recliner with Lola periodically getting close enough to make her hiss. I worried that once I left full war would break out, but I came home to find Willow out in the open on the back of the sofa and Lola totally ignoring her. This is progress!!

My positive is I opened up my Mexican Horchata Drink Mix. It's pretty good. It tastes kinda like rice pudding or a coconut vanilla cinnamon eggnog. It needs some cappuccino added to it though, I can't seem to drink anything without my cappuccino in it anymore. I'm obsessed with its flavor for some reason.

I saw my first hummingbird of the year. :)
I love hummingbirds! One of the delights when we moved to Oregon was to learn that the Anna’s hummingbirds stay all winter. I have to bring the juice in at night when it’s freezing and get it out early in the morning when they come out of torpor and are frantic for the energy. Just a clip from a video so the quality is bad, but it’s a mid-winter shot and snowing.

I am taking the summer off from feeding or providing water to any birds. We have a big outbreak of avian flu which is killing big and little birds and is spread by communal eating/drinking spaces.
