My cousin lives in Florida and has an infestation of Plametto Bugs. Apparently, they are common in Florida, and they are actually large nasty cockroaches. She has tried numberous "natural" remedies to get of them, and nothing works. She is very hesitant to call an esterminator because she has 3 cats, one a senior cat, and she fearful of having any poisons or chemicals used in the house, but really needs to get rid of them sooner rather than later. I told her I would check with you guys to see if you have any recommendations. And is there anything an exterminator can do that truly is NOT harmful to pets or other animal?

I would call an exterminator and find out. I'm sure there are 'traps' the bugs can get into but the cats can't. Never use glue traps if the cats stepped on one it would be horrible!

I don't know if she has done that yet. She said she's tried several "natural" ways on the internet which didn't work, but I don't know what. She's pretty freaked out, wants the bugs gone but doesn't want to kill her kitties. Thought I would post here in case anyone has faced a similar situation with needing an exterminator for something.
