Well poor Mom couldn't sleep last night. Strong gusts of wind, moved cat stuff making noises that woke her up. So I have to go out now in 17 degree weather to arrange this stuff. Ugh What a horrible situation this is. I'm sitting here crying over this. :(

Ugh and hope someone helps me with todays crisis. How do you get Alexa on echo show to show your receipt for a purchase. Please, it's urgent or I lose $100 pay as we're testing this skill. What a horrible situation evrything is. :(

MoonstoneWolf MoonstoneWolf First, try to stop crying..Things are always not as bad as you feel they are..
Crying gets you more upset, increasing feelings of hopelessness..

For whatever reason, you are in the vicious circle of feeling helpless, and hopeless.. You can stop this cycle.. Write down your feelings in a journal.. make a chart: one column of what happened; one column of what needs to be done to solve the situation; another column of unemotional ways YOU can solve this issue...

You are not helpless... You are not Hopeless... Things are not hopeless... The worst thing seems to be living with your mom... we all know that..

As far as the current situation.. try to think logically.... Go on line, searching on ways to get Alexa to pull of receipts.. It should be easy, if you have an Amazon Account...

Things are not as dire as you feel.. There has to be a bit of positivity in your mind...

I know this is hard to do, but you need to try, and not give up when it gets tuff... You can do it..

What is the alternative? Have a complete breakdown? and be useless to everyone and everything.. You cannot do this to yourself...

You need to get away from your mother, or set some boundaries...
If the cats run off, for a day or two, then they will be back.. if not... then, you have to just give it up to the universe... You really cannot go on living like this: everything that happens is a dire and I mean dire death sentence... You have to have hope of somekind..

You need a break from your mother and from the kitties... try forcing yourself to spend an hour a day, doing NOTHING... just nothing.. let our mind wonder, but each time bad thoughts come into your head---just put up a huge red stop sign in your mind, and say, STOP.... go back to better thoughts.. better times, listen to some music.. write in a journal.. just lie down in silence...

I have been there; unfortunately, going back there sometimes.. These are things I found which have helped me...

Sorry if I sound harsh... but, you really need to get a hold of yourself.. You have to find your inner strength.. You are strong.. You have survived so long, under these conditions... You have to find some way to survive, for YOURSELF...

(((((HUGS))))

But the thing is I have a month to get these past debts paid off or I go to collections. I really don't spend 20 hours a day doing surveys for the fun of it. And Mom cannot function on her own. Relatives won't help us. I can't say why without getting into politics. One day I'll have to be out on my own but with bad credit at least in my city, I won't get one. Am I supposed to destin myself to sleeping in cardboard boxes on the street? Sorry if this sounds mean but that is my life situation. And yes it is my fault that I got into this debt, taking out loans, buying stuff I couldn't afford and all so it's up to me, not the government, not Mom, not my next door neighbor to get me out of it. Sadly the stupidity of my youth is haunting me in my old age. :(

I guess you may have missed the part that these cats are helping me atone myself for the way I treated Pepper and Harley during my mean drinking days. I posted time and again in the feral cat threads I started about that. and yes I do fail these cats. Sorry if my feelings are offensive

I thought as a backup I'd grab some straw from one of the shelters and put in the tent and then place a chair and drape a shower curtain over the chair and down, across as a canopy to the back of the tent over the other shower curtain. She likes it wide open so this way maybe she would still feel like she has room Or I was thinking of the 2 worst nights to move one of my coffee tables outside and do something similar with draping over the table on the one side to block any wind, hold down with bricks and so on. I did that last year for Treasure when it got cold but his injury kept him from going fulling into the tent or the shelter.

This is what I have. I put the shelter next to her favorite sleeping tent so she'd get used to at least seeing it. Got the shelter from my feral society. Was going to drape from behind the tent to across that area you see and over a chair but maybe a coffee table in front instead. Yes I'd have to move for a moment to get by but it's only a day or two. What do you think? I do have two other shelters that Treasure has not laid claim to yet. I hope to hear soon on this please. Ty.

What cozy places you created! Looks like they would help them stay warm, too.

Not quite sure what is going on this week. Still working on responses to the long e-mails between a friend and I. Think I'm almost halfway done? I'm trying not to rush this time and burn out as last time I spent multiple hours a day for 2-3 days, and hit time working on only spending 1-2 hours per day. We still chit chat most days through text messages, which feels nice to stay connected. Finally feeling a bit more stable and like I have support. It's been so hard since coming back to my mom's and finally feeling safe and more normal.

It has been super cold here and more snow came yesterday! I've also been reading new books. One seems like it will be great to help me grow and process things. It was pretty heavy yesterday to read and stopped to journal about things, so this book may take a while to read but will be worth it!

The cats didn't like that set up. And the flapping of the shower curtain and tablecloth kept making weird sounds. Not only kept Mom awake but spooked the heck out of Treasure. I'll have to find some other means of keeping them warm before this weekends -13 windchills set in, although overall we had a pretty mild winter here. Seems we'll have a week of the polar blast which I worry about the survival of Tourmaline. Again remember she is a dumped pet, not a feral like Treasure and Sopdet. I hope she's smart enough to follow the lead of the ferals if it gets too cold. Remember if cats really were that much into self preservation, why are there so many horror stories of cats left outside in the cold?

Still trying to figure out the Alexa thing which google is no help. I hope to get that figured out as well. But I also have 18 hours of surveys to do today so I can pay off another past bill. People don't seem to understand the severity of bad credit. If Mom passes, which at 97 years old she very well could, where would I go? Half the inheritance would go to paying off the past debts. The other half would go to getting my dentures so I can eat like a normal human being. I'd still need to have money to keep up the house, do major repairs, etc. I don't have the luxury of waiting 25 years or so with $10 a week savings or to even follow Dave Ramsey's advice which is geared more to 20 year olds. True, if something happens to Mom while still here at the house, the cats can then come inside. However if Mom plans on moving like she wants now that our neighbor passed away I have 3 cats and 4 visiting cats to figure out what to do with. I am not about to just abandon them when they relied on me for 2 1/2 years to feed them. If I did that I'd be no better than the mean drunk that was not so kind to Pepper and Harley.

My V3 cams come in this weekend. The spotlight comes in sometime next week. I'll be retiring the V2s shortly. They work great but I honestly don't need all of these cams. Since the intruder situation almost 2 weeks ago he hasn't returned so I think it was most likely random. Tourmaline is getting leery of people now so I'm sure she'll take off running with Treasure and Sopdet if he does come back.

Sorry for the long post.

if you purchased something on Amazon, go there online on your phone or tablet to view your receipt. If you used PayPal you can see it there. Documenting And returning things purchased online (anything you purchase through Alexa) is usually pretty simple.

Sorry I did not specify. I have to have it done through the Echo Show. Not the phone or computer. Otherwise I do not get my 100.00 pay from Pulse Labs. We're testing the voice assistant which has to be done on a show. Obviously it's a function already that I can't get any support on. I can't go into detail on the test but the testing is for enhancements to already existing functions. So therefore I can't even call Amazon til the testing is complete. This is very tragic as the $100 will keep me out of court. Very hard to test the voice assistant on a computer. I have tried the google thing and it does not yield any results. :(

MoonstoneWolf MoonstoneWolf - i hope you will be alright ?:hugs:
I'm just tired of doing surveys all day long. You know, I go shopping with Mom I have app open doing surveys. I go out with the cats, I have app open doing surveys. It's so tiring so when I have an easy money maker like the testing of these Alexa skills (and I get paid good for may 20 minutes) I take advantage of doing those. Sometimes I can bring in $200 to 300 a month doing these Alexa skills. The only skill I tested that didn't need clarification was when I did the radio version of the Sims, considering I used to be a simmer.

Anyway went shopping, got cat food. Tourmaline is the most difficult cat to feed. She doesn't like kitten milk, she doesn't like chicken, she turns her nose up at fish and she's unaffected by catnip. The food she loved last week is food she despises this week. How on earth did she grow up past kitten stage? She does like the Purina Chow I put out but I like to treat these cats every so often. Oh well.

Treasure and Sopdet will eat almost anything.

Some are good. Good pay and all. It's just that when that's all you do to make money it does get boring.

Made my V3 a Pan cam. I gorilla taped it to the top of the Pan but so I can see both sides during the day I have the V3 facing one way and the Pan facing the other. A tip I got from someone in the Wyze group

7pm. No other lights except other houses and street lights in back.

My Mom just told me she feels sorry for this Alexa that I'm always yelling at. haha This morning I'm doing more of the $100 job and when I asked her to buy toothpaste she said "Opening the meow skill now". Huh? If I wasn't making money testing skills I'd get rid of the stupid woman (AI). I hate AIs but I'll deal with it for the pay to keep out of court

Grabbing hammer and ready to kill alexa. Ugh I really dislike AI. Should be called AS for Artificial stupidity

Now I have Treasure worries I'm very sad about everything

Now USPS website won't load for me. What a mess this is. I need to track a piece of mail. There goes more pay. :(
Take a deep breath and try again. It appears to be working from my end, so maybe the site was down a few minutes(though I'm not trying to sign in). Is it mail you sent or are waiting for? I signed up for informed delivery and get an email each morning about what will be in my mailbox each day and it's pretty accurate.

Sorry I didn't specify, I need the answer by such and such time to put on my survey. It's easy to say to take a deep breath when you aren't on the verge of going to court for debts that you aren't able to pay though so I understand that. But a lot of these jobs I do have a time limit to complete. So I lost out on $30 because the website on my end wasn't working :(
