Nothing works for my lips except the original Burt's Bees. Not even other beeswax brands or other varieties of Burt's Bees :dunno: . So it might take a bit of experimenting to find out what your lips like. . .but I definitely recommend the original Burt's Bees!
I thought Burt's Bees was vegan but they are not. They use carmine in their products which is a red dye they get from crushed beatles. It is also used in yogurt and other products.

Aquaphor is not vegan and vaseline may or may not be vegan. I am just going to go online and get a vegan product.

I use Superdrug's own brand lipbalm, but that might not be of any use to you if you're in the US because I think Superdrug is just a British label.

It in't? It is what all the dermatologists recommend after biopsy or surgery, to heal the wound.
Honey is also non vegan. Back when I was vegan some of them would not use white sugar because it was processed using bone char. Now they use peach pits to bleach the sugar white. I had to take almost all of my food to a food bank when I first became vegan because most of it contained sugar.

It has lanolin in it, which comes from sheep's wool. Again, you don't have to kill them for it, but vegans don't use any animal products.
If you look at the ingredients on the tube, it just says petroleum jelly.

I hope so, I can still pass it to others though.
The jury's still out on this! We just don't know if it prevents transmission or not. Good news is most vaccines have historically reduced transmission, so it's reasonable to be optimistic. (But of course continue to mask and social distance just in case.)

Aquaphor? This is what the tube says: Mineral Oil, Ceresin, Lanolin Alcohol, Panthenol, Glycerin, Bisabolol

If you mean Vaseline/petroleum jelly, there's some debate about it because it used to be filtered with bone char (some suppliers might still use it), there's some uncertainty about animal testing, and being made of oil, it kind of violates basic vegan principles even if it doesn't have animal products.

USPS employees are in the next phase of vaccines as essential workers, so I might get it sooner than expected. Haven't heard anything yet.

My dad got the vaccine today. He really lucked out because although he does see patients, he doesn't treat covid directly and he got on a lottery system at the hospital. If this happened 10 years ago, he would probably have let his spot go to someone else, but these days he checks multiple boxes for at risk categories, plus he interacts with so many people every day. I'm so relieved because I've been assuming he would get covid at some point all year!

Right now there are two the one from Pfizer and the one from Moderna. In terms of the data from the trials there is little to no difference in efficacy and they are both two shots. There is a small difference in number of days between shots. Moderna has one big advantage it doesn't have to be kept at subzero temperatures like the Phizer one. It still has to be kept cold but it is normal home appliances type cold. That gives it the advantage as far as shipping and being stored out side of urban areas that don't have easy access to that kind of cold storage. The two can't be mixed. If you get the first shot of one type then the second shot has to also be of that type.

There are more vaccinations close to coming on line.

Thank you for the information. I am hoping my Dad will come out with some immunities but worry about other family members who have been exposed. One loss is too many. I suppose they may have been strong enough to avoid becoming symptomatic or missed it entirely but.... a vaccine would be great.
