Final score yesterday: 7.5 oz for 250 calories

I am attempting to remove the Rawz turkey from her diet. Her gut and butt have been wonky ever since the summer with the turkey flavor.

I'm not sure she's on board with this plan. But we shall see.

I am starting by simply removing the 1/4 portion of turkey from the plate and plating the other 3/4 in amounts like it was still there. Where before it was 8, 8, and 16 grams of the turkey, rabbit, and rabbit with pumpkin, it is now just 8 and 16. More like 8 and 20 because I don't want to cut her calories too much. I just want her first meal or three to have a good chance at success.

We can grow the rabbit and pumpkin pate portions back to full plate as we know she will eat it and it will agree with her on both ends.

I thought I was being clever getting her to finish first breakfast by plating the remainder it in her raw spot. She did finish first breakfast. Then she remained there for waiting for her raw portion before second breakfast. I caved and gave it to her. And thirty minutes later, her stomach told me not to reverse her meal order like that again.

After I cleaned the carpet, her plated second breakfast remained untouched.

On a return to the kitchen to wash dishes, she climbed up to the counter and sat down next to the coffee maker (basically the picture at the start of this thread) and rubbed against me all cute-like. “Do over? Can I get a do-over?” Alright! It had been long enough since she popped. I decided to plate her another raw portion which she readily ate. And then miracle of miracles, she finally came around to second breakfast. She isn’t mowing the all rabbit and pumpkin plate like she did when turkey was on the plate. But as long as she keeps it down today. We can either keep trying the rabbit and pumpkin pate. Or I can mix in some rabbit pate.

I might even be willing to try duck with her eventually. But I think that’s too many variables right now.

Plan for today is to start packing around noon for a 2:30 departure. Check her in at 3. Get her settled with an afternoon snack. And then come back to the apartment to do an Express Clean cycle with the upright Bissell. Tomorrow morning after her dosing and the breakfasts, I come back to the apartment to do flea treatments. I don’t have enough Fleabusters to do the whole apartment again. But I can do her high traffic areas and Siphotrol the rest. But only if the carpet is dry from the night before. That’s why only an Express Clean. Last time I did a Deep Clean, it took longer than a day to dry and I needed an extra night at the hotel.

Wishing you both all the best for your holidays! (We don't have holidays now). Hoping all of her food will agree with Krista!

This is Krista’s “diaper bag.” We have her timed feeders, grooming wipes, a towel, enzyme cleaner, a portable wet vac, a hand broom and scoop, poop bags, non-ammonia wipes, and a grooming brush. 😹😻

And my shoes. 😆
This was helpful to remind myself what I put in her “diaper bag” last time. Pee pads? Are there pee pads in there? There are now.

I have one smart cat. We stayed at this same hotel in October. When I let her out of her carrier, she went straight to the litter boxes. Which is not straight at all. It’s around the corner in the bathroom, in the bathroom’s closet. She walked to them first before anything else like she remembered where they were.

I put out a rabbit flight for her. Rabbit pate, rabbit and pumpkin pate, and half and half. I think just rabbit won the first pass. I’m sure they’ll all be gone by morning.

It figures that plain rabbit, the one I have less than a can left, with no stores open for another day, is the one she now prefers. 🤦🏼‍♂️😹

It would take a Hanukkah miracle for two meals worth of rabbit to last her eight meals instead.

Top of the fridge: check
Window sill: check

She’s got her hotel room checklist.

And we can finally add a 💩👍👏🎄

What a beautiful pic of a beautiful girl!
My Three are similar, especially Baby Su, who eats in her own room with the door closed because she's afraid Elvis will come and chase her and raid her food. She invariably uses her toilet right as I am ready to bring my dinner in on a tray to relax and watch TV. So I always check first before bringing it, and do cleanup if necessary.

We’re not going to get a Hanukkah miracle on the plain rabbit pate. She will have just enough left to put something on her first dinner plate.

She got her Christmas present early this morning: a Mirtaz wet willy.
She did not shoot her eye out. :clapcat:

It seems her tastes have shifted. Rabbit with pumpkin got cleaned first. Rabbit pate has a slim ribbon left. Half and half? I estimate that got cleared by half. I feel good about packing the feeders this morning and I think she’ll do alright today.

Another good poop at 6. No bonus puddles or piles. Merry Christmas to us!

She’s eating pretty well with the Christmas dose and the new rabbit protocol. I haven’t been keeping score these past couple of days or tomorrow because we’re traveling and she finally has some insurance weight on her to weather a few traveling off days.
