So I finally got started on my Christmas baking. Two months later than I usually do. I give homemade goodies as gifts for all of my family and friends. The only gifts I buy are for my hubby and nieces. And even at, that I'm usually done with gift shopping by now as well, except for last minute stocking stuffers and such. So far I only bought one of the gifts for each of my nieces and still have one more each...just have to find them. I made my first online purchase ever (except for cat food that I buy online), for some pants for hubby, but obviously I still have a ways to go for him too.
I'M STRESSING!!!!!! There's not much time left.
For my baking, I would always be able to make upwards of 24 different goodies so that my platters are beautiful and have a good assortment. Don't think I'll be able to achieve that this year. I'm starting with "the favorites" and I'll go from there.
I was also hoping to make my nuts and bolts recipe, I'll have to wait on that, it's not something I make ALL the time so it won't be expected. Same with my perogies.
I'm starting with some simple marshmallow squares, when I see accomplishments, it tends to give me a boost to keep going.
Are all of you ready (or almost at least) for Christmas (or whichever holiday you celebrate this time of year )?
Do you cook or bake for the holidays?
What are some of the things you make? I'm always willing to try new things if you would like to send me your recipes.
