Hi guys, please continue to pray for my poor moggy. He can no longer walk. He gets around by scooting around on his bum. His appetite is still good, though.

Last week from Sunday, my moggy stopped peeing on his own. I've had to bring him to the vet every day to express his pee. The day before yesterday, he had a big pee in his litterbox (something to celebrate!). He didn't pee yesterday, but today he had a big pee on his mat. Please pray he will continue to be able to pee!
He's still preening himself and eating (although he wants to be spoon fed, but he attacks the spoon and eats with gusto). We're hoping against hope this is something like IVDD ( intervertebral disc disease), even though it's uncommon in cats.

did the vet check for a tick ? ticks do cause paralisis and their toxins affect the neurological systems and nerves in the body. The tick could be in a place where it is hard to see such as in the ears

He has been an indoor cat for the last 6 years so very unlikely it's a tick. It also wouldn't explain his lumbar pain. But thanks for bringing it up!

Does the vet feel he is too high risk for an MRI?
I know this is a very tough time for
You and him but he really needs some diagnostics.....
I think I recall you stated they found a mass somewhere on an xray right?
