But seriously pumpkin spice spam? That's wierd. What's next, old spice spam?
You are correct there. I make Indian and Moroccan recipes that use the spices used for "pumpkin pie spice." None of it is sweet.Indian cooking uses "pumpkin pie spices" a lot. They can be great if used properly, and the spiced food doesn't have to be sweet. So I think the "pumpkin pie spice" Spam could be OK. Not that I'm going to try it, lol. But cinnamon, ginger, cloves, and nutmeg can be used to improve some foods. Tbh, the spiced Spam is probably better than most PPS products. Still not going to try it .
I make a couple pans of TDF pumpkin bars every fall. A batch of pumpkin whoopie pies. And a pumpkin pie at Thanksgiving. That's pretty much it around here. (A couple years ago, I made a batch of pumpkin sticky buns; they were....different. Rick told me that he wouldn't be offended if I never made them again.)Pumpkin bars, pumpkin pie and molasses cookies. Those are the only places I want to taste pumpkin spices.
I tried putting chocolate in chili once and it's actually good. You're supposed to use unsweetened cocoa powder or a block of baker's chocolate, but even if you use dark eating chocolate, it's just a little so it doesn't add any sweetness. And the chocolate adds a nice richness to it. It's not a sweet and savory combination at all. That's what the cornbread is for . Adding unsweetened instant coffee powder is good too and has a similar effect.. I have seen copycat recipes that also call for chocolate, I just don't like the combination.
I loved that show, too The motorcycle with the sidecar was the best.muffy I remember the Two Fat Ladies. They were hilarious and I loved watching them. I tried a couple of their recipes and they were excellent. One was some kind of meatloaf; it was good. And I loved the motorcycle! They were a hoot.
I think most brands of ice cream are yucky anyway (I don't like a grainy, fluffy, or slimy texture; dense and creamy only!), so I haven't tried most PPS ice creams available, but Culver's has the BEST pumpkin pie custard. It just tastes like a slice of pumpkin pie with extra cream, which is how I eat pumpkin pie anyway . I don't think I'd seek it out all year long, but I have to get some at least once or twice a year. There's pumpkin spiced ice cream
A few times during the season I get coffee with just a little of the pumpkin spice sauce added in. Their pumpkin spice flavor is the best by far.I just had a pumpkin cream cold brew from Starbucks.
I was at Starbucks this afternoon and they were giving out samples of the pumpkin cream nitro cold brew - I was surprised how much I liked it too.I just had a pumpkin cream cold brew from Starbucks. It's good!
