I'm very thin and always have been. I like not having to watch what I eat, but it gets a bit frustrating when people make snarky comments at me for ordering a salad. Sometimes I just feel like a salad! That shouldn't be a crime! I think we should all focus on ourselves and not worry about everyone else.
My positive: I have a tater tot casserole in the oven and it's making the whole place smell amazing. I'm starving and can't wait for it to be done. But I hope Aedan lets me put him down soon so I can get the high chair reassembled. I took it apart to throw the cloth part and the straps in the washing machine.

Well...my megapawsitives start out sounding negative, so READ THE "BUTS" after the statements!

My neighbor from two doors down (Jessie) was rushed to the hospital for chest pain, BUT it is "only" walking pneumonia, not his heart, and he is resting comfortably at home.
My next door neighbor dropped a glass table top on her foot, cutting it opened and requiring 15 stitches, BUT she missed tendons and ligaments, and will recover very nicely. I sent my kitchen stool over (has a nice chair back on it) so she can sit while cooking and doing dishes.
My neighbor from four doors down totaled her car at 6 AM this morning, really wiped it out, BUT escaped with nothing but a few bruises and sore spots.

SO...many things that COULD HAVE BEEN very bad are just...fairly minor inconveniences

For myself, Hekitty is being an angel kitty today. And that really IS magapawsitive!
I just received the strangest text:

"Please remind my Mom that I am ALWAYS an angel kitty. Sometimes I just wear a disguise." Thank you. HeKitty

Who am I to disobey the Queen? :help:

My pawsitive is thatI had BOTH kitties in the bed with me this morning when I woke up. One on each side. Sophie has a way of knowing exactly when I open my eyes. That's when she starts poking at me to go get her breakfast.

and their two cats are accounted for
I think that, along with them being ok, ...this is hugely positive :gift:

you could roll it in your fingers and it would turn into something that looked like playdo.
LOL, I remember this  and yes, they do still make it but I don't know if it's been improved beyond the playdo style...

Thank you. HeKitty
:lol2:

My positive is that I had an absolutely fantastic day. Packages showed up just as I was leaving to run some errands (so they didn't sit in the open on the front stoop all that time, whew!). Literally, I was closing/locking my front door, turned around and honest-to-goodness, I had two delivery drivers drive up, one right after the other LOL. Other packages arrived in-store for me to pick up an hour before I got there, and mr fishbreath has decided he likes mackerel --and so do I :yummy:

@maggiedemi (my apologies - I'm not responsible for the fate of the poor pigeon) here's another nature picture, right in my backyard. Poppy-kitty was very interested and watched the whole thing. After it left, I put on latex gloves, picked up the remains and disposed of that in the big trash barrel, and then let him outside. He sniffed the "crime scene" with great gusto :greenpaw::kitty::bluepaw: :winkcat:

So glad to hear that, Furballsmom Furballsmom . Sounds like you are going to be "sittin' in tall cotton" as we say :yess:.
That's a redtail on the pigeon. They are such beautiful birds. I've seen them take doves in mid-flight while I was out in the yard. Yes, it's sad and disturbing but it is nature's way. Cats' natural prey is small rodents and I've seen the same sort of thing up in the barn before. I didn't take the prey away because even though my "barnies" got excellent wet and dry foods, they obviously enjoyed supplementing their diets and there was no reason to be concerned, as there were no poisons used there. I was actually pretty proud of my barnies, who we brought up from our S. El Monte place, where they had been "community cats" we got TNR'd and adopted. I didn't know they were so fierce!

Alicia88 Alicia88 enjoy your good metabolism while you have it. I was always thin as well, never had to worry about what I ate, had milkshakes & desserts regularly. After 40, that went away & I had to try and develop good eating habits later in life. I have learned to like salads, which I never touched before 30 unless they were drenched in baco-bits & thousand island dressing.

My big pawsitive for today is that I was able to trim all of Luciano nails in one day! I did cheat, in that I dosed him with gabapentin so he was sleepy. Even when he woke up & started biting my hand, the pressure wasn't too firm & I could finish the last three claws. He may not sleep next to me on the couch for a day or so, but this is the first time I've done them all.

Wow, ileen ileen , that IS an accomplishment!!! My angel Tashi used to tear my hands to ribbons when I'd clip her claws. Tarifa, who never used to let me, will now, even if she's nervous about it. Baby Su used to let me, but these days it's hit and miss, one or two here and there. Elvis, I wouldn't touch with clippers attached to a 10-foot pole. You have my eternal respect!

OMC, PushPurrCatPaws PushPurrCatPaws how did that happen? *PRAYERS* and hoping that Milly passes it easily (some oil or butter to help, maybe?) and quickly.
It's my fault. It's supposed to be a supervised toy, and I forgot it wasn't tucked safely away in a drawer. The pawsitive is that I was in the other room making a bunch of bars of soap, as we really need them, so that's good -- but I really can't leave Milly with toys like that, :sigh:

I normally avoid dairy too, being lactose intolerant and knowing it's not good for people or cows or anyone else for humans to use dairy. Last time I shopped I had to buy some cheese as the alternative they had is inedible.
You might want to try one of these non-dairy cheese brands. I have had all three and they are excellent: Treeline, Kite Hill or Miyoko

My pawsitive is that I have not made the bed in a week. Since our recent snow storm I changed over to flannel sheets and Carleton loves them. He won't get out of bed. :lol2:

On the subject of boxes, the cats have another box to play in, always a positive thing for them :D My new desktop came yesterday :woohoo::yess:
The cats get two more boxes today from Amazon. Nothing says crazy cat lady more than a living room full of empty boxes :p

We got the kids their "big" Christmas presents last night. They're physically big as well as big in price lol. I hope Aislyn doesn't see the delivery guy walking up before I do. She's getting a big dollhouse:

And Aedan is getting a Laugh & Learn Smart Learning Home.

We've been saving up for ages to be able to give them a nice Christmas. I think we're done with the Christmas shopping. Now the birthday shopping begins. Aislyn's is December 28 and Aedan's is January 11.
I've been explaining to Aislyn that the most important part of Christmas is time spent with family. She's almost 6 - she's focused on the presents. We're gonna keep working on learning the right lessons.

neely neely I hope my store starts to carry one or more of those, as I'd love to try them, thanks! The brand I used to buy in vast quantities changed their formulation and it's terrible. Go Veggie! is definitely a no-go for me. :sigh:
LTS3 LTS3 A room full of boxes indicates the owner is a person of very high intelligence :compsurfing: A new desktop -- how exciting! I'd love to hear more about it.
My black-and-gold laptop is purring away as I type. She really looks great in her turquoise collar.

Awww, those darling tummies :redheartpump::redheartpump:

PushPurrCatPaws PushPurrCatPaws how is milly after the accidental ingestion of toy parts?

My positive since I really enjoy seasonal and weather changes, --it is a foggy day that will eventually turn into a rainy day, and then a snowy day LOL

:paperbag: No one said it was accidental :paperbag: . . . I think she meant to do it!!

Well, the pawsitive is that we are not yet in the 'danger time frame' of no pooping... I'll give her till tomorrow. I'm keeping an eye out for a white hairy poo. (That's just gross! :headshake: )
