Knowing that hummingbirds aren't your favorite creature in the universe, I think this was a super, and very generous-hearted, thing to say!! It made me feel a little better, and thanks also for the tip on more flowers ;)
wishing you many flying feathered jewels next season!

Autumn starts tonight! This is my favorite season, I love all the leaves changing colors, the crisp air and cooler days and nights!

:fallsmiley:
PushPurrCatPaws PushPurrCatPaws - My favourite part of Autumn comes on October twelfth - when the Pastry Færies bring fresh baked good to all the cat Parents!
.

Edit: Wait - October twelfth is Columbus Day, not Pastry Færies Day. Never mind.

@raysmyheart --Which Purina Naturals dry food does Speedy eat? Is it Original, Indoor, or Grain Free?

Furballsmom Furballsmom --I love hummingbirds. They look like little fairies.

the house isn't full at all; no such thing as too many cats. Been considering building an addition anyway.
My dad built 2 huge additions onto this house, but never did much with them. It's mostly just storage and canned goods, but it would probably fit a lot of cats.

Mog went in for his bi-annual checkup yesterday. It seems that he has a clean bill of health! The vet and techs all commented about how friendly and patient he was with them, even when they had to draw blood and give him his Rabies booster vaccine. He purred in my arms for almost twenty minutes when we got home, because he was so happy to be back. He is such a sweet guy, and I'm so lucky to have him, and that he is healthy!

Oh no, Furballsmom Furballsmom -- I love the flying jewels! It's just that they scare me when they fly very close to me *sharp! little beaks!* I've kept a feeder up on the last 2 houses. My folks always did, too. And we actually had one nest in our hedge on the patio right shortly after we moved here. It was so exciting!

Norachan Norachan - You owe it to yourself to see the film, too. You can see it on YouTube now. VERY powerful. One of the greatest domestic films ever made IMHO.

Here's my offering, by my favorite scorer for cinema:

WITH beautiful images! Enjoy, all. :dancingblackcat::clapcat::petcat:

Shane Kent Shane Kent - Thank Heaven your power is back on! Given the tornado that touched down east of you, I suppose it could have been far worse, eh?

A little bit of a sunset thang goin' on here tonight on the way to and from feeding foxes:

Those were actually shot only minutes apart. On the right side of the patio in the last photo?

Still a few dozen in the garden, along with Buttercups and Acorns, but today's Pawsitive:

If one of those squash should happen to fall
And break in half and get filled with butter
And brown sugar and jump in the oven at 425º

Yeah, you gotta keep your eyes on those sunsets because they change by the second, don't they?

*Squash envy* OMC how many do you HAVE? I never met a squash I didn't love. All of the Fall produce is amazing -- and you're surrounded by it! :yummy::fallsmiley:

Hey! Weird! We just picked up an acorn today, which we usually cut in half and bake with butter, brown sugar and GARLIC. Yum!

Here's my positive for today!
Why so positive, I used to sing this to one of my most difficult to handle dogs (in private) and replaced the lyrics with "wayward dog" and "wayward asshole."
I still find myself humming this song when I'm out doing barn chores and stuff.
It's catchy. It's old. So I like it.
When you hear this song from today on, think of me and an impossible dog that made me want to jump off a cliff. (But he turned into one damn fine dog that was a very good farm dog, and a great house dog too.)

@tarasgirl - Especially this time of year; the colours of the sunsets change so drastically and so quickly.

How many squashes? No idea. Enough so that I can send a few hundred around to neighbours, and still have plenty of Sweet Dumpling, Futsu Blacks, Musquée de Provence and Hokkaidos. A lot; Winter squash if my favourite Autumn vegetable.

tinydestroyer tinydestroyer --Love the Marvin Gaye song. I was going to post my favorite of his songs, but after looking at the lyrics, I better not. :eek2:

1 bruce 1 1 bruce 1 --I love Kansas. I saw them in concert in Syracuse on a split ticket with the band Boston. It was a very good show.

Shane Kent Shane Kent --Where's the pics of your new haul?

1CatOverTheLine 1CatOverTheLine --Nice squash song. I don't care for sweets much, but I would love a neighbor to make me casseroles. With lotsa cheese.
Talking about casseroles is always positive, for me anyway. But here's a bonus positive, another great band with one of my favorite singers, Peter Cetera!

M maggiedemi ,
I have Boston CD's. I hate CD's but I love this band, so I accepted the challenge. Totally awesome group there, very talented with excellent tunes.
Also, when did I get to be such a damn dinosaur.

Also, M maggiedemi I wish you were our neighbor! We've gone casserole mad and are frantically sharing food to get a thumbs up/down, most freeze well.
For another positive, Queen Bee is still sneezing and complaining with a runny eye but she is playing like a 2 year old and playfully beat the crap out of her dog friend over who to to chase the cat "thing on a string."
Sorry, dogs, but the feathery-thing on a wand is a cats-only game. Dogs don't usually do cartwheels in mid air like cats do, so....strike 3, yer out.

I do enjoy reading all these posts! Flying jewels or fairies! Squash from the garden and listening to Kansas while looking at stunning sunset colors. October the 12th will always be a special day for me even when Columbus Day falls on another date or pastries come a day early. My daughter Sarah was born that day! That thought will make me give a smile to everyone.
My personal positive is that the Gingerbread kittens are better today.

1 bruce 1 1 bruce 1 - Would you rather have disco on eight tracks and cassettes in stereo?

Forty-six degrees here this evening, with the moon big and bright on the verge of the Corn Moon tomorrow, and mighty quiet at the edge of the woods just now. I wonder if the squirrels are plotting something?

Here ya go, Dinosaur:

"'Cause when that morning sun comes beating down,
You're going to wake up in your town.
But we'll be scheduled to appear
A thousand miles away from here...."

Hello! Busy, busy, busy here! Went out of town for the weekend with the family and the bf to introduce him to 98 year old grandma and other relatives. They don't seem to have scared him away, so I'll say that's positive!

That's wonderful news! I'm so glad to hear they're better.

:clap::clap::clap::clap::clap::clap::clap:

My positive for the day is I had a long chat with my Dad on skype. He's still in a rehab clinic, but he's doing really well. He can now walk up and down the corridor on his own.

He's making Airfix models of Spitfire planes to help pass the time.
