- what a sweetie!) I had a nice sighting of a hummingbird this morning. Always PAWSITIVE to see nature in action. By the time I tried to snap a pic, he had moved on, but not before stopping by every single flower on this bush:
OMG Really!? Tanuki figurines are everywhere over here. People buy them to put outside their front door, they serve the same purpose as a garden gnome. Actually there are two AWESOME figurines in the garden of an abandoned house near here. I've had my eye on them for ages but they're four ft high and really heavy. I can't carry them home by myself. I keep asking Mr Husband to come and get them but he says even taking stuff from abandoned houses isn't allowed. I keep telling him it's not stealing, it's recycling, but he won't listen. M maggiedemi how good are you at weight-lifting? Can you lift a 4 ft tanuki? Oh, and a few years ago we went to a village where they make tanuki figurines and some of them were about 9 ft tall and they come in all sizes and colours and you can get boys or girls and they have them with cute little hats on or bow ties and they're just the best thing ever!!!!!

They are also getting me set up with a consult for an implant to replace a baby tooth I had out a year ago. I'm not super excited about that; but I keep telling myself I'll be happy I had it done after it's over.

And why would you have a baby tooth replaced, there should be a permanent tooth under it????Is it "Dentist Day" for TCSers? I went in for a filling I've been waiting 3 months for today. I had an appointment for another in a few weeks because its on the opposite side of my mouth. But thankfully my new dentist was able to do both! I won't describe what my smile looked like when I left.
And if someone asks if I still have all my teeth I will say yes. I paid for it; it's mine.
I'm just glad those are taken care of. And I was able to eat dinner by cutting my chicken into toddler size pieces to chew in the way back.

Here you have this whole clowder of cats and you still want Carpet. Absolutely not. This phony excuse that you are just making sure that nobody will catnap her is not even the tiniest bit believable. Go to bed and stop worrying about and drooling over Carpet, she's mine!
Now that you mention it, however, Sophie is so lovely, that maybe I should add her (and Albert) to Forest Cat and Jiro. Of course, I like Hiro too... and The Mu! And I suppose if Carpet came here, I'd have to take Chicken, Sadie and Twinkle. And Marley's in Love with Sadie, so he'd have to come along as well. And Marley's name starts with, "M" and we couldn't break up a set, so I suppose that Mia The Minx and Moon would have to come. And Susy Siren and Little Boy, naturally. And I imagine that they'd all be lonesome without Lizzie, Freya, Henry Lee, Toby Happy, Flynn and Heidi.

A bailiwick is an area of authority, but more commonly refers to someone's home turf or neighborhood. Sorry, but ancients like me tend to use terms that are not familiar to most younger people. Besides , I am an omnivorous reader (almost- I draw the line at romance novels), and have picked up a whole boatload of terms and words over the years.

- Sorry - I've spent my Life owning retail businesses, and I know a great opportunity when I see one. A place just came up for sale in a fabulous high-traffic location - great retro building, LOTS of parking, and cheap as heck. All I have to do is change the "R" on the sign to a "T" and I'm in business!
