Montressor will go to the door now and meow to be let out. I put a harness on him though, and he crawls on his belly. Today was putting it on him without the leash to walk around the house, and I wanted to verify the fit.

The bad news is he was so fearful with it on that he and Midway got into it (prey action/prey drive). The good news is that once we managed to move past the squabble Montressor seems to be adapting to the harness. I figure I'll keep it on them both for the rest of the day and put it on tomorrow as well.
Because Darwin will relentlessly chase Chocolate, (the same situation you have), the feline behaviorist suggested putting bells on his collar so she can hear him coming. It works great. However, when he's being a real stinker, he'll jingle his collar just to bug her. You might give it a try.

We use Beastie Bands collars. They're made out of wetsuit material and common great colors and patterns. I found mine at Cool Cat Gear, but you can see all the patterns available by going to the Beastie Bands website. Cool Cat Gear will try to get you what you want if they don't have it. The collars stay on well but have enough give to allow a trapped cat to escape.

That kid is huge! He's probably going to end up 6½ feet tall or something like that. You're going to have fun with shoes when he's a teen.

The cats do have collars with bells. And it's done nothing. Maybe even worse than nothing, since Montressor seems a little nervous when he hears it, and that might be triggering prey-like movements, leading to a stronger response from Midway.

For those who do let their cats out under controlled conditions - right now my fear is one of the boys getting stung on the nose, since they will eat the grass that's mixed in with clover and bees are highly unpredictable in their flower choices.

I think Aedan must have gotten his size from my side of the family. The men in my family are very tall and built. I have a cousin who is 6'10". The only time I've seen him walk through the door without having to duck was at Walmart! It's crazy. John isn't very tall - about 5'5". He's already worried about Aedan as a teenager. Direct quote: how an I supposed to tell him what to do when he's towering over me by a foot? He'll just laugh and say 'what're you gonna do about it, little man?'". I told him that's why it's important to earn his respect and raise him well! Lol

Any parent who can only rule by force, depending on being bigger than their kid, is not the type of parent anyone should want to be anyway.

My nephew was 35 pounds when he was a year old. Now he's 12 and he's 5' 9". He's taller than my brother (his dad) was at that age, and he's 6'3" now. So my nephew is gonna be huge. Maybe 6' 8" or more. Poor guy! There's a point when extra height is just annoying.

My husband is 6'7" and would be a little taller but he has some scoliosis. Clothes are a nightmare, most of the places that sell big and tall put a serious price tag on that extra few inches of fabric. The obvious answer is sew your own, but I've never found big and tall patterns. Shoes are another nightmare.

Big and tall clothes are hard to find, but skinny and tall clothes are almost impossible. My youngest brother is 6' 3" and 140 pounds (my dad says his pants size is "spaghetti"), and he has to special-order everything.

Fortunately for them, the guys in my family have average-size feet. 10 or 11, nothing crazy.

I have a dentist appointment tomorrow cause I have to get a filling and I'm not fully looking forward to it seeing the chair is always kinda hard on my neck. I'm hoping it goes smoothly and hopefully I won't have a neck ache after it's all over with.

I'm thinking of how I want my allergies to clear up a bit more before my dentist appointment.
Claritin or Zyrtec every day for at least a week without fail.

I wish I knew how to stop Connor from kidnapping and molesting stuffed animals. He was neutered at 5 months old.
He'll stop molesting them when he gets older. If he's like Montressor, that'll be when he's about 17. Kidnapping.....still waiting for Montressor to grow out of that phase.

My first cat was like that, except he took a particular liking to the stuffed cat in my avatar. It didn't matter how many other stuffed animals I piled on top of it, Pepper would dig for it, drag it off my bed, and drag it downstairs.
