dustydiamond1 dustydiamond1 , no, so far no replies from the Boston area. I'm assuming that people have been doing other things and haven't checked in here yet.

I was afraid it would come to this. Poor Artie and Cindy, I'm praying for you both. I agree with dustydiamond though, sometimes the only thing left to help them is to have them pass away peacefully.
I was sure it would, eventually. Artie was doing so well for a while that I dared to hope, but...

rubysmama rubysmama , thank you for the links. I'm certain Cindy has already read these articles; she's been thinking (worrying) about this problem since 2016, at least.

Please believe me that Cindy has considered every way she or anyone else can come up with that might give Artie a few more good months, and if she can come up with anything she'll give it a try - Artie is her closest family. She's going to need a lot of support from all of us to get through this.

It's Sunday evening and I'm about to go to bed. I still haven't heard from anyone who can be physically present for Cindy on Tuesday, and I have a problem. I have to go to an occupational therapy appointment tomorrow, which means it will be late before I can check PMs. So if there's anyone who can and will make themselves available to Cindy on Tuesday, please send a PM to Mamanyt1953 Mamanyt1953 and @margd. One or both of them should be on-site tomorrow, and they both have Cindy's contact information.

SOMETHING told me to get online and check JUST THIS THREAD, and I am so glad that I did. YES, if anyone can be available on Tuesday, contact me and I'll help you get into direct contact with Cindy.

We are all heartbroken. All of us. I don't think I've ever prayed quite so hard or cried quite so much or offered bargains with To Whom It May Concern quite so desperately for any other creature not my own.

For now, he is with us. So please send every ounce of love and healing vibes their way that you can!

Oh, I am in tears now as I am reading the latest updates on sweet Artie. I will pray with all my heart that he can once again bounce back and remain with Cindy for many, many more months.
Yes, as others have stated, it feels like our very own pet is so ill. We have all traveled this journey with them both, and feel as though Artie is our kitty as well.
I am truly at a loss for words. I wish with all my heart I could wave a magic wand and make Artie well again, for all of us, and especially for Cindy. I know that sweet, precious kitty means everything to Cindy.
Believe me, I know the heartache of lising a soulmate kitty, as many of us do.
I am truly hoping and praying for a miracle and that Artie has many more good months ahead.
Prayers for both Artie and Cindy!
My heart and thoughts are with you both, always!

Everyone, I am speechless and amazed at the amount of caring, love, prayers, wishes, which are pouring in.. Thank You..

Artie is still here. i wanted to update you personally.

Sunday, it was decided he did not need another enema, since he was passing a tiny bit of stool.

He was miserable day-- hiding in his tent, not even fighting me with his meds-- including the lactulose. His infrequent, meow was very soft and hoarse. He also did not want to eat anything for most of the day-- obviously in pain, and feeling terrible.
He cried a very soft, meow, each time I had to bother him for medications; but did not fight.

He did have a better amount of stool come out around 9PM.. very thick, but appeared a bit softer.. but still just about 2 inches of it.

This must have made a bit of room in his tummy, as he began eating the dry food.. strange how he is taking to that.

Yes, he was on my lap last night, and cuddling with me in bed--

I woke up to some stool in the litter box.. soft and thin..

Artie is still day to day.. I am going to update NVet's secretary, this morning....
Have to see how today goes..
Day to day...

I am exhausted.. seriously.. insomnia does not help...

thank you all again..We have not completed this episode, as of yet..

love...

Hopefully the meds are starting to work and he'll keep pooping more and feel better. I'd ask about painkillers but the good ones cause constipation. Inky was on some that weren't addictive and didn't cause constipation, gabapentin. But i can also understand not wanting to add more meds.

I'll just keep praying for a miracle.

Thanks for the update, Cindy. I know you must be beyond exhausted in every possible way right now, and greatly appreciate you taking the time to let us know how Artie is doing.

With God, all things are possible, and I continue to hope and pray for a miracle for you and Artie. :heartshape:

We all thank you for the update. I know it must be very difficult, with all that you are going through, to find the time and energy. But you know we are all surrounding you both with love and best thoughts, and many of us are sending up Prayers for Artie. There is much power in Prayer, as you know, and Artie is a very strong little man, with a very strong and loving loved one. Yes, one step at a time. :vibes::vibes::vibes::redheartpump::hugs::redcat::redheartpump::redheartpump::redheartpump::redheartpump::redheartpump::redheartpump::redheartpump:
