Oh Forest Cat, gorgeous girl... you look like the Queen of the Jungle! Certainly the Queen of the Enclosure.
Forest Cat is actually the King of Olcott Beach, but his throne is empty, and his subjects are sad. Norachan - are you listening? His subjects are sad. Very, very sad. Poor sad subjects.Oh Forest Cat, gorgeous girl... you look like the Queen of the Jungle! Certainly the Queen of the Enclosure.
Norachan - Jinx! You owe me a soda!Gorgeous Boy! He's a boy! That would make him King of The Jungle, surely!
Thank you! Once they get it uploaded I’ll post their mailbag from today. It’s long, 2 hours long, but it’s like a kitty Christmas! It’s all gifts sent to the kitties and those who serve them (and the dog to!). Plus the whole time you have kittens exploring boxes, playing with new toys, or just plain being cute plus it’s the perfect thing to watch with kids.Desertmouse LOVING the videos and Frali has my heart! Maggie is gorgeous and I'm very glad she is a permanent faculty member Happiest of anniversaries to all at Kitten Academy!
Good morning folks! Spring has indeed come back for now. Yesterday was warm and windy. The bike ride was windy but the sun was warm. This morning at 5am it was clear skies and chilly 30. Hopefully in another month no more frost so we can begin planting tomatoes and other yummy plants.
Today looks to be around 57 to 60 sunny and still breezy. No black flies or rain! A lovely day!
1CatOverTheLine *ROFLMOTO* Yeah, ya don't want to step on one of those gush-bombs in the middle of the night! *or any other time, for that matter* and yeah, I miss seeing the Milky Way. Since I'm extremely lactose intolerant and so are most cats, we just don't see anything to do with milk now. It's really PAWSitive that some areas of the planet realize the benefits of keeping light pollution at bay. I never really knew there WAS a night sky until I lived in the Mojave..
margd - Lovely photos; Spring has clearly sprung in your neck of the woods!
This is the clearest night I've seen in many months, and from the promontory on the high bank overlooking the river, the stars which populate the vault of Heaven stretch down to the horizon in all directions save the west, where the moon washes them out.
@Shane Kent - I know you recall nights like this one, camped at some unnamed lake, where the only light you could see came from above. tarasgirl06 - I'm sure that you saw many such clear nights in the Mojave, as well, with the stars wheeling 'round the Heavens. I wonder why we begin to forget, as we age, to look up at night? Why do we constantly look downward rather than the reverse?
Oh, wait... I remember now... hairballs!
Here's wishing everyone a clear and peaceful night.

Beautiful pic, foxxycat and I always picture CATS when "stripers" are mentioned. I use that term myself to refer to tabbies. And tigers. Unless, of course, the tabbies are Classics, in which case they're "swirlers". It's all PAWSitive. It's a great day for a bike ride. Thinking of going for another one later. I didn't go as far because I wanted to take in the scenery.

This is the Great Bay from the side of the road-there's no clear area to get to the beach side-it's really mucky here and the tide is out. There's Tons of stripers that go through here in Late May/June. There used to be a place to fish on the bridge but that's no longer there. On the other side there's 2 parks one can go to fish from shore but it's not as good as fishing off the bridge.
A lovely 58 degrees out with a breeze!
