His little kissable muzzle
golondrina - That is great news !Thank you Etarre for your prompt reply. I'm sorry about Gwen. I understand your feelings. I have lost my Cucumella almost 5 months ago, sha was 16 years old. I congratulate you on having adopted Junniper and I am very happy for you. I haven't yet had the courage to adopt a new kitten but I will one of these days. Because of my age I would like to adopt an adult cat.
Hi Golondrina, and thanks! Gwen, unfortunately, died over Thanksgiving last year after a long illness. We miss her and her artfully draped sleeping postures dreadfully, but have adopted a new teenaged kitty, Juniper (my avatar), who keeps us cheerful with her antics.

golondrina - "Morris" - the kitty from the adoption center in Montevideo, in my link in post #124, has had a tough time in the past, but it sounds like he's ready for someone to Love. Thanks mama africa and 1CatOverTheLine for your encouragement. For the moment I have been offered baby kittens. Adorable and very tempting but I want to take care of an older cat more difficult to be accepted and with a better chance to be survived by me. All my family members(daughters and grandchildren) live in houses with pleasant gardens and their pets are "garden pets" . Cucumella loved to be inside and detested to go out. Before we realized she was ill one of my grandsons had promised me to adopt her after my passing and to keep her inside his house but I know it would have been difficult for him to do so. He has dogs and cats in his garden. Besides she was very "cuddly" and affectionate and used to my presence day and night. I wouln't want to accustom a cat to the security and comfort of an apartment and the affectionate personal attention of a person of my age and then disappear from his life.

golondrina - I found it today, after you'd remarked that you were considering adopting an adult cat. From the sound of it, Morris underwent extensive treatment and care, and it sounded like he was "finally" ready for adoption, but then my Spanish is even worse than my English, so I might have been reading a restaurant menu or a train schedule. I could find no date on the advertisement.Thank you CatOverTheLine and mama africa. I have tried to telephone the shelter in question but for some reason they don't receive calls. The telephone company tells me their telephone is only meant to make calls but not to receive them. I have sent an email to them with my telephone numbers and address and hope they will reply. I am not too hopeful because according to the info in the link you have provided Morris was received by them in 2015 When did you see this 1CatOverTheLine? I have loved Morris's photo and the expression on his face.
golondrina - I'm so sorry that Morris has been adopted already, but the shelter seems very promising, and I have absolutely no question that you'll find a loving and deserving kitty with them, with whom to share your Life and you abundant Love! PLEASE keep us posted, my Friend!I received a reply this morning from the shelter "Animales sin Hogar". Unfortunately for me Morris has already been adopted. I had fallen for him, I loved his colouring and more than anything his expression.
This shelter seems very serious and responsible. They invited me to visit them but wish to visit me first and see my home and circumstances. If I decide to go ahead I will initiate a separate thread.
