Don't know if a place to hang qualifies as a toy, but this was my Christmas present to Luciano this year - a bed from Ikea. He didn't use it right away (at least not when I was around), but he's in it multiple times a day now. It can also be used without the top with a black back or sort of folded in half like an office in box (green pillow is removable).

This is Oscar's favorite toy, he carries it around and meows with it in his mouth. He leaves it in front of my bedroom door everyday. I bought it in a 2 pack from Family Dollar awhile ago. Sadly, I've been to every Family Dollar within 30 miles trying to buy more, but it seems none have them anymore. By searching for the Chinese manufacturer I found a way to buy them direct but the minimum order was like 600 birds.
I bought him other similar toys including this one, but he wants nothing to do with them.

We had aShih-Tzu like that! When Mr. Bear the toy became too yucky, he was thrown away. Our perfectly healthy pup stopped eating and playing, he was clearly very sick. I called the vet and made an appt, but noticed something while on the phone. He was moping in the kitchen, and I finally realized throughout the afternoon that he was moping by the TRASH! We couldn’t believe it, but a trip to the store and he was miraculously healed! I was so shocked and we bought extras for emergencies. I understand you going to such lengths to find it, maybe create a post and we can all check local dollar stores next time we are there. Someone may have luck and pop it in the post! :)

None in our area, they hardly carry cat toys at all.

Do you know how to sew, or know someone who knows how to sew? It might be easy to make one, it looks like a pretty simple design from the photo.

I haven't gotten that desperate yet. I have three more options to order off amazon, but they are all about $10 a piece and i'd hate to add them to the basket of toys no one will play with so I've been putting it off.

Beautiful! I love how you matched the bed to Lucianos colors. Although the pillow should be golden not green so it would match his eyes
Well, credit/blame goes to Ikea. There were no color choices there. I do recommend checking out their pet line if there's an Ikea in your area.
