Gorgeous! What's mama's name? Do you know if this is her first litter?
Her name is Dyra. She came from a multi-unfixed-pet household that wanted to surrender her to the rescue I volunteer for. That was the name they had given her. We're pretty sure it's her first litter as she's only 9 months old! She is doing an absolutely awesome job for a new mommy, I think. She's patient, gentle, helps them go potty, and lets them nurse as much as they want. <3

I'm sorry the photos are so big! I uploaded them on my mobile and now that I'm on my laptop they look gigantic.

They're not too big for my laptop, they're beautiful. I can't believe she had a litter of 5 all by herself in the few hours between your checks and everything went perfectly.

I KNOW! I can't decide whether I'm more amazed or relieved! Animals are truly incredible.

Wow! Usually eyes open around a week to 10 days. That's exciting!

Looks like they are doing great. :)

It's possible that she was conceived a few days earlier than the rest of the litter. Cats can get pregnant by more than one male while they're in heat.
That makes sense. The different coloring would corroborate that too. Cat pregnancy is so fascinating!

Everyone is looking good this AM and has gained over yesterday. However my #1 gained only 2 grams from yesterday morning to today, from 118 to 120. He appears plump and healthy, and is up from his Sunday afternoon weight of 108, but should I be concerned he didn't gain more? My miracle nipples arrive tomorrow so I can start supplementing if necessary.

So so excited that my runts grew even more! Up to 105 & 110. :yess:

I think you should supplement. He needs to gain 6-10 grams per day. See how he gains today. He's not doing badly though.

Oops, make that 110 and 117 for the runts!

Ok, I will start supplementing as soon as I get the nipples. In the meantime I am going to try to facilitate his nursing and make sure he gets extra time.
