Hot dogs, and probably some sort of sandwich tomorrow night, as well. I'll be cooking my Christmas Eve grits casserole and hot fruit on Sunday, and my lasagna and berry pie for Christmas.

I love bakery pizza!

I haven’t cooked a “real meal” in a while. I was supposed to today, but we ended up having a bigger lunch then expected, so I thawed a container of soup from the freezer.

Another Martha Stewart one pot chicken dish. This one is similar to the one I've made before, only it calls for chicken leg quarters and swiss chard instead of celery. I used bone in chicken thighs because I can't fit more than 1 chicken leg quarter in my 4 qt pot:rolleyes:

Homemade pizza tonight. Friends are coming in for dinner. If the weather holds, we're going to try to use the pizza oven on the grill.

Yep, tuna salad tonight. And I'm baking my pies for Christmas Eve and Christmas Day, just to get that out of the way. AND putting my hot fruit casserole together and tucking it in the fridge to bake tomorrow. AND boiling the chicken breasts to chop and take out to the ferals on Christmas eve.

I am heating up my great toaster oven for a Trader Joes, steak & ale pot pie... I was going to make Mrs T's Pierogies, but got wiped out from a very intensive, long telephone conversation, this afternoon....

The pirogues, not Mrs T's, are a tradition in my house for Christmas... this year I was not able to make the Polish store for them... this would have been a poor substitute, but the thought was there..

I am breaking tradition.......

We had a coupon for buy one salad get one free at Salata. So we got the large salad which includes a yummy multi-grain roll. Getting ready to cook and bake tomorrow, needed to bring something healthy in for dinner tonight.

No grilled pizza yesterday. It was a rainy day and very misty and foggy by dinner time. I used the pizza stone in the kitchen for our pizza. Our friends brought a fruit tray with some dip and I had a plate of cookies. It was a nice night.

Ham and bean soup tonight. Rick said he was kind of hungry for bean soup. I took a ham slice out of the freezer and I always have dried beans on hand, so it works.

Leftover lasagna from yesterday, and a salad. I need to use the salad up quickly. I'll be snacking on it for a day or two.

Burgers and hash browns.

I asked DD last week what she wanted for Christmas dinner. As usual, the reply was "I don't care." I gave her some suggestions and all got rejected. Finally she decided she wanted............. a grilled cheese sandwich and tomato soup. Yes. Really. That's what she had. I had some taquitos. Aren't we festive? :rolleyes2:

The kids got some yummy roasted chicken with their supper. They enjoyed that a lot!

A big old salad. The greens are not going to last forever. I'll boil an egg to chop up in there, along with goat cheese that I need to use up, and croutons, and call it done!
