The Cats at our Shelter

We've had some adoptions : )
Mattcat, who has been with us for a while, got a family! Lil' G (I never got my own photo because she went to Petsmart to be adopted) and Megan went fast!

Waiting to be adopted we have the adults Abigale, Andy, Bella, Cora, Daphne, Dee Dee, Eartha Kitten, Jeffery, Myra, pascal, Pitch, and Sunshine.
Kittens up for adoption are Alexa, Alvin, Ariel, Bert and Ernie (bonded), Ivy, Lil' Kim, Lil' Wayne, M&M, Mandy, Poe, and Ralphie.
In foster or on medical hold we've got Addie, Allen, Boo, Clyde, Flora, Glimmer, Jerry, Lady Gaga, Lily Lou, London, Milo, Mr. Cool, Paws, Peggy, Pipit, Sheera, Sir William, Spiderman, Steve, and Wheat.

Lil' G's official photo. She was obviously a cutie. I never got to meet her or her siblings, they went to Petsmart so fast. That's a good thing though, that means they will all get wonderful families quickly!

Yep. Lots of cats, especially since the end of kitten seasons second rush is here. Adult adoptions have been pretty slow, but since they have the cat room and an outdoor area they get plenty of fun time.

Poe and Andy were both adopted! They aren't related, but they look like they could be.

Andy is a sweet little young adult. He is black with white on the chest and belly (Poe to). Both are shorthairs.

Poe is a teenager and waited for a little while to find her home. Her sister was adopted a month or so ago, so I'm glad she got a family to love her

Black cats glossy coats can be so gorgeous. My Nocturne has an incredibly shiny coat.

Also never got to meet these two. I believe they are Lil' G's siblings. M&M and Lil' Wayne were adopted from Petsmart! Yay!

More and more of our petshops over here are giving up on selling 'designer pets' and offering space to rescues instead.

I know, it is so wonderful. People realize that these cats aren't "damaged and old" when they see them happy and playing in a petshop. Even if they don't adopt from the pet store they are more willing to look into adopting from a shelter later on.

We have three more adoptions! Ralphie and Ivy (not sure if the siblings were adopted together or not, but at least they both have homes!) And long-term resident, sweet kitty Pitch.
Pitch came from a pretty bad situation, but blossomed at the shelter. He gained weight and got an all around glow to him. I'm so glad he has a family that can love him as he deserves.

I know, I'm so happy for Pitch! He is one of the last that came out of that situation to find a home. Cora and Bella I think are the only two left that aren't in foster (some of the more shy, older individuals went into foster homes and are doing wonderfully).

Ivy and Ralphie are siblings (brother and sister, around 4-5 months old). I love their cream/buff coats. Even more beautiful in person.

Reason for massive celebration!! Eartha, after a year of waiting, has finally found her family! She originally arrived in December or 2016 as a kitten. She was adopted in February, but not long after, in March, was returned. It was not until December of this year, as an adult, that she found the right match for her. Not only that, but she was adopted with another cat, Mandy (Megan's sister). Congrats you two!!!
