I got a great deal on a Kitchen Aid mixer at Lowe's last year. It was the last one they had, out of a box, no manual with it for $199. I didn't need a box and I found a website where I could print out the manual.
I wanted it to mix gluten free bread dough. It is very dense and sticky. I am now in love with the mixer and wouldn't trade it for anything. They are well worth the money and I wish I had bought one years ago
@Handsome Kitty
I got the Artisan model (middle of the price range model) for $169 and free shipping on Target's website, during a sale. I love it. LOVE!

I can't wait to see some solo pics of Kitkats brood! I got lost in the video earlier and can't wait to see their little fur faces.
I am so excited to watch them grow!
When I take them to weigh them, she watches every move I make.
Pictures soon. I promise. :)

To the best of my knowledge, you can't.

Congratulations on #1000!!!

So who is the biggest babbler of them all so far? It's @NewYork1303 with 145 posts!
I feel like this thread is really adding to my number of posts overall for this site! Its morning here 5:55am. Yay for that. I have a kitten laying on me letting me know that it is time to play.

I've had a frustrating morning. Walked up to town (and just leaving the house is a big deal for me), with the intention of going to two shops. Both were closed :frusty: I got my days mixed up :doh3:

Never mind. I dropped into another shop and got to see a friend with her newborn baby (three and a half weeks) - first time I've seen her since the birth. Such a cute little girl :heart3: I'm not usually much of a baby person (far more into animal babies than human ones :lol3: ), but this little one was a sweetie!

I'm tired now (as usual). Still in shock over the amount I missed here last night. I may have to stay babbling tonight so I don't miss stuff :lol3:

Attention all Mods:- Babbling stats would be fun to see. Any chance of a day by day breakdown? ;)

LOL. It definitely is.

Playing with kitten time is the best time
Sophie wakes me up every day for breakfast around 5:30. Today she just curled up on my chest and purred instead of her usual. Getting in my face with a loud ack or swatting my cheek with her paw.

I've done the mixing up days thing what a pain.

I'm with you. Give me an animal baby any day. I like seeing other people's babies. I prefer seeing them go home though. I'd walk past a baby to coo at a kitten.

"What a cute baby. OH YOU HAVE A KITTEN!!!! Can I have it?"

"I care nothing for your fence, human!"
@Norachan  thank you! and.. Japanese? wow! A friend of mine speaks Japanese and he started taking lessons after his 20s.. So, I guess you didn't get there too late! On the other hand, which parent would think that his 6 year old should take Japanese lessons? I'm thinkin' no parent?? LOL So it only makes sense that anyone who decides to learn such a difficult language, does it at least at his 16+ (from what I've seen around)

Oh, and good luck on the fence project! Make sure to look around for as many "dos and donts" as you can. Especially if your kitty is an escape artist. It took a LOT of research for me before I installed the safety net. And now, WE can't even escape if we wanted to!

i know the paw holding photo is adorable(they have a bunch of photos like that), they do that so  nobody will believe that they beat the crap out of each other constantly.
@guslizsid  Haha! Little con artists..

Good morning everyone!!

@GrizzlySapien    καλημέρα!

I actually disagree with you on that one. Greek - at least modern greek - is pretty easy. But that may be my perspective. σπούδασε ομηρική ελληνική ! (Now I am just having fun trying to practice with my rusty grasp of Greek, hahahaha) So when I got to trying to learn how to communicate with the living, it was really easy comparatively... modern greek has lost a bunch of cases and whatnot. I actually find Greek makes more sense than English, because when you have a sentence like: He was throwing his ball around his neighborhood - if that were in Greek you could look at that sentence and know how many people are being discussed. In ancient greek at least, I'm too rusty now to remember if the forms modern greek has lost would fit into that sentence. But in English that sentence could be referencing 1, 2 or even 3 people, you have no way of knowing where each of those he/his/his belongs.  English is an imprecise and confusing mess.

Though I do remember one of the funniest moments of my time in Greece.. there came a point when I was talking with my friends and I just gave up and started using English words when I didn't know the greek one. So I would have sentences that were like: αγαπώ Sinbad very much! είναι running με την favorite crinkly μπάλα του στο στόμα του and meowing!!

And they all laughed then, and said: NOW you sound like a Greek!!

Of all the languages I have done any studying with ... Japanese is the most difficult. Greek was the easiest for me. Maybe it's the way I think though?? But homeric Greek grammar just makes sense to me somehow.
@Losna  Yes, Homer was actually believed to have created himself many of the words he used in his poems. Especially descriptive adjectives, but nouns as well. And many words have their origins to Homer's speeches and works. So, Homeric Grammar, might seem complicated but it is so descriptive and specific, in terms of meanings and etymology. Most English and Americans, can't cope with Greek, so good for you!
 Germans on the other hand, do better in learning Greek 'cause the structure on both our Grammars is very much alike.

And I'll have to agree with you on Japanese being the hardest.. As I mentioned earlier to @Norachan, when my friend who was learning Japanese at the time, started showing me ideograms and such, I was like
 towards him.. LOL

*Oh, and your Greek is not rusty at all!

I can not believe fifteen minutes has passed on here without a post. So does that mean things are slowing down here?

I just saw the funniest video of comic con people dancing to a geeky rendition of Taylor Swift's "Shake it off"... when are we going to do the cat version?!

Henry was so happy to see me this morning!! He came running out of his tote and was rubbing himself all over my hands and arms when I was scooping his boxes. He was purring so loud. It took about 3 months before I heard any purring at all from him.

At least you heard purring eventually.  I have had Paul and Chula for 5 months and have never heard either one purr!  I know Paul does it though because I can feel the vibrations.  They almost  never meow either and when they do, it's very faint and muted.  Sigh. Maybe I just need to keep waiting.  My old Wesley used to chat with me - I would say something and he would meow encouragingly and I'd say something else and he'd pitch in with another meow etc.  He spoiled me.

Henry doesn't meow either. He does occasionally make noise but it's also muted and not a meow. I don't know how to describe it though. Then again, Sophie doesn't meow except when she's getting a bath and then it's a loud, plaintive, very drawn out MEEEEEOOOOOOOWWWWWWWW!

Usually, when she has something to say, it's ACK! Lilith is my vocal cat and she meows, chirps, trills, talks and everything else you can think of..

I could tell Xander was feeling better yesterday. After I gave him his meds and he ate his supper, he started chasing flies.  It was so funny watching him squat and jump up at them.

I wish I spoke more than one language. I think it must really stretch the mental processes to be able to speak 2 or more languages. There are so many nuances to meanings in every language.
I speak 2 languages! For me it was rather easy since I took interest in English since I was about 6 years old. I learned by myself reading books, listening to music with English lyrics and, of course, watching cartoons in English!
 It was very fun!

The worst for me is when I make a typo because I'm sleepy or careless. I feel like I've torn down all my hard work in a second...well, a letter

The nuances you get from watching movies and listening to music.

I think I speak English about 60% of my time with work and online friends
 It has given me so much, I'm very happy I was able to learn a new language

Me too! I'm not very fond of babies or children unless they're a baby I like
 The only kids I like so far are my nephew, a little niece of my boyfriend and a baby from a friend at work.

Will the info make you post more or less? At the rate this is going, this may be the only day you get stats!
